Any1 think I should make a poll for the custom sets? We've made considerable progress in this thread, and we've pointed out combinations that work (a set involving ripping boomerang+meteor bomb, the ol 1211 set we love, some aggro Link sets). We got one critical set out of the way, 1211, now we just need to decide on the other 5 sets. Hmmm... How would i poll this?

I have made a major discovery!

Link can go under FD with 0 percents, ZERO! In Brawl Link needed minimum 65% to go under the stage. Therefore we can conclude that his second jump is higher, his up-b recovery is higher and his bombs have more knockback.

Didn't we know that already? Not the under FD, but the increased attributes of his movements.

I appreciate a good horror thing as much as the next guy but we have kids in the audience, you know? We should try and keep the forum 'Teen' rating.
Isn't that teen rating? I mean, sure, it might be unsettling but there is no gore nor porn which are what draw the line between teen and mature. It's fine for teens IMHO.

That was me being PG. This is nothing compared to what Blu and DeTa went through during their youth.

It also seems we've made a fan, one that's imprinted on Elessar as his favourite. This is good, saves us advertising our return.

Indeed, though his derp spree was short-lived, his failtastic troll threads were locked. Too bad.

The more closely he learns to emulate your mannerisms the more he will grow and improve as a person. I can only hope he begins by learning your grasp on English.

now i'm afraid of clowns and mosquitoes...
A perfectly reasonable response. But where is the fun in being reasonable?

Ever heard of a magical place called "Uncle Shin's Photobucket?" It's not far away.

Shin is essentially the Majora of our boards. On the outset he's cooky and colorful looking, but houses a myriad of dark and terribly mind-warping secrets that no man should ever set foot near. Maybe more like FD Link now that I think about it. He's on our side, and thank God, for surely such dark power would overwhelm any lesser man. He is, after all, the one who inherited the fury.

Y'know brothers, it has been long since the last time I'd heard the fury discussed. Would anyone like to educate the younger generation on it's majesty?

Now there's a term I haven't heard in some time. The Fury is not to be trifled with. It is a flame to be fanned, and should only be unleashed when someone is confident in their abilities, lest it destroy them.

This photobucket is making me extremely curious (pretty interesting pic btw. So inviting :p). I think I've played and watched through enough horror to be able to stand the monstrosities that lie within it.
By the way, the Evil Within (no pun intended) is pretty over the top. Not as much as the old horror games, but it sticks out. 10x more freaky the the Resident Evil games by far. Maybe even Dead Space too.

You know not what you crave. Nothing can prepare your feeble mind for the depths of depravity in there. You are not ready to become one of us, for every Link main has gone down that abyss. You cannot be a true Link main, you cannot be one of us until you've gone there. It is our rite of passage, it is our most holy act.

The threads of your sanity aren't strong enough yet. You are not ready.

I'm actually working on another drawing just so you guys know. I think I'll post more drawings here as they come. Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it. But to be honest, I'm not really that amazing. I got lucky with the one I posted here already. I'm surprised at how well it turned out, though it had some kinks to straighten out (like Links arms looking a bit too short). I'll post it again when I think I'm done. Or at least when I think it looks better.

I've heard this before. We'll see where it takes you.
"There was a time when meadow, grove and stream,
The earth, and every common sight, to me did seem
Apparrel'd in celestial light:
The glory and the freshness of a dream."
Then Shin's bucket came and scarred,
To go my youthful mind bombard --
I never hope to see again
The place that caused the moment when
For once and all the glory past
As into adulthood I was blast.

"Wither is fled the visionary gleam?
Where is it now, the glory and the dream?"
Oh Shin, why put me on thy team?!
I still recall the mighty scream:

The HORROR! The HORROR!

Anyone else feel like Ghirahim should've been a playable character? I'm still bummed out about it. All that move set potential put to waste. .-.

I do. But mostly I miss Wolf. He was the best of the space furries, and fueled all kinds of fantasies.

Yeah but I know the other stuff so just sayin'.

Is FD smaller than it was in Brawl?

TEW didn't know what it wanted to be imo. It shifted through ripping off several horror games but lacked focus. I couldn't take it seriously.

Dart projectiles, sword wielding, teleportation, tongue taunts, fabulousness, ect. So much potential just thrown away. Ah well. Maybe next time when they decide to remake Skyward Sword...

About that, who here would like an HD remaster of Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword? I'm kinda drooling at the thought of an HD TP (seriously though, TP's graphics are outdated as **** right now). It could use some tweaks here and there, too. An enhanced story (somehow) and better dialog from Ganondorf would be appreciated imo. Zelda could use some tweaks as well. She seemed like such a dull character.

Skyward Sword can use a few improvements to it's gameplay as we all know already. Still though, it's up there with TP and MM as one of my top favorite Zelda games. Mainly due to having a beautifully done story, and the character development is also considered by me to be the best in the series by far.

I'm not into remakes as much.
IMO TP and SS both had what the other lacked but lacked what the other had. TP had great item use in combat, arrow aiming, open world with Epona, HUGE environments and bosses, epic lantern light and lighting effects, day/night/weather cycles, the epic feel. SS had more environment interaction, great sword play, faster movement, treasures and customizations. The next LoZ should combine all these good aspects.

I like how baroque Twilight Princess looks by now: it almost adds to the game. The graphics also look good to me once I've been desensitized to modern HD graphics. I just play 64 first and then switch to the 'cube. It works.

Twilight Princess was all right, sure, but SS had flying. I think the game actually got me to dream I could fly once. (Alas, when I wake and no wings I can find, how I sigh to myself all in vain!)

Compare the Zelda tech demo from E3 to TP. No comparison. And there's no doubt that an actual remake would look even better than that dude.

(A little late, I know) Yep. I guess I'm being underestimated. I've gotten my head in all sort of things, most that are too explicit to discuss here. But I'll be patient. I'll wait for that day when I can prove myself. Really want to give that clown a handshake.

Yeah, it's weird. You can get extremely used to the speed/graphics of OoT once you play it long enough, and then when you switch to TP, it feels alien and new.

Hey y'all, I've decided to quit being a moderator. I spend too much time on Smashboards which I would rather spend doing other stuff.

I hope I've done a good job in my short lived time of being the Smash 4 Link moderator.

I've sent in my resignation along with suggestions for the candidates. Best of luck to you all.

I was hoping that there would be someone who would want to take over my video thread. Because I don't want to update it anymore.

Scale...but why...dude...I'm legit sad now...you'll still be a regular member though, right? Come, post, hang out?

Dang I wanted to share this and comment, but now I'm not in the mood (due to scale leaving us). I'll still leave the link here though.

Deepest regrets.

(*cue music) Nevertheless, we must move on. We shall get another mod! Just because Scabe stepped down doesn't mean it's the end of the world. We will take each other's burdens and be the responsible the community we are. We are a force that cannot be easily shaken. We will stand our ground. We the Links will do work!

Sorry, couldn't find a bigger image of this.

I'm not gonna step on any more qualified toes, but I will accept if chosen. If it is any consolation Smashboards is the largest part of my browser history beating out Google/youtube/and crunchyroll, so it's not like I won't be around often.

I would plan to be fairly laissez faire on moderation until it's warranted, and most issues I would seek democratic action on. I shall do as the people say, for them, by their accord. Flaming on newb threads will likely be limited to a page or two before Deva-lock and infractions would only be given on the most atrocious of actions (stolen credit card information, continued harassment, excessive genital measurement competitions etc) and bans shall be withheld from all but the most utterly heathenous behavior.

Essentially the only thing that would change is more circulation :D the Link boards do a good enough job moderating themselves and keeping clutter down, so all that's neccesary is someone who can lock/sticky/reassign threads when needed.

With that all said, if there are any more qualified, I shall gladly stand aside.
TL;DR more of the same with quicker reaction time.

I have no promises to make, I'm not a politician, but if the Links do decide, as in times long since past, to make me a figurehead with some measure of power, they already know how I'll perform.
