On stage, most of my kills are from Fsmashes, Dsmashes, and Usmashes. Off stage, Nair all the way.
I've been really surprised by how consistent I am with dair to spike. I'm better at spiking with him than any character I've ever played.

I think Utilt, Ftilt and Nair Gimps rank highest for me, yes, followed by Fair and Dair and Dsmash (from jab).

"It's over nine thousand!!!!"
:p
Well, I knew that one :p.

What type of anime are you looking into, exactly? There's numerous genres.
I am not really sure what type. The only anime I have watch is Pokemon, Yugioh and a bit of DBZ. Though I do love adventure time XD (yeah, it's not anime, but I still love it )

well if you don't understand the reference you should DEFINITELY watch Gurren Lagann!!! What an amazing Anime.

Also Kill la Kill is awesome. English release just started coming out recently, though I did really enjoy the japanese cast
I'll do those down then :).

So what are y'all top 3 most reliable kill moves (not including gimps/stage spikes)? For me, probably jab to downsmash, ftilt, then upthrow.
Um, all his smash attacks, Ftilt, Dair (spike), Nair and Utilt. Upthrow? Really?

Fsmash, utilt, jab ->followup (utilt or a smash move). Usmash and dash attack (especially on a good read or punish) are also solid options. Ftilt is good too.

Yeah, it's nice Link has so many killing tools. There's so much variety based on our posts.

Upthrow is a very reliable kill move when the stock just won't end, and those moments happen even to Link with his plethora of kill moves. It's not too bad, depends on your rage and the weight/% of the opponent obviously, but for example against Shiek I tend to build a lot of rage and end up throwing them up for a kill when they get >%110

By order of my most effective:
1. FSmash (Fsmash2 for the most part)
2. Ftilt
3. Dsmash
4. Fair offstage
5. Uair (sometimes Dair as well)

I can never seem to kill (or hit) with USmash so I tend not to use it unless I got them caught in the air.

I would have to say Dsmash is our best kill move. The first swing is our fastest smash attack (heck, it's our third fastest grounded attack after jab and Utilt) and the sweetspot has the highest knockback out of our entire moveset. The second swing, although difficult to set up or land, knocks the opponent as such an low angle that makes recovering difficult.

Fsmash would probably come next. It has the benefit of having two swings which can lead to mix ups and extends the already amazing range. The second swing is right behind the sweetspotted Dsmash in terms of knockback, and a tipped first swing is right behind that. It's biggest drawback is that the second swing has a ton of end lag now, but that's somewhat offset by that fact that you can hit confirm with the first swing.

Utilt and Ftilt are kinda tied for third IMO. Both of them are pretty quick with little lag and have deceptively high knockback. I think in the end I might have to go with Utilt simply due to the fact that it true combos from jab 1.

Bonus kill move: dash attack :awesome:

Ah, okay. Yeah, it makes sense that it's a "my opponent won't die and is a 200%" kill move. It does have good growth knockback.

Technically Utilt is 2nd fastest at frame 8, then Dsmash at 9. Just saying.

It's kind of stupid that Dtilt starts frame 13 but Dsmash starts 9. Poor Dtilt.

What are you talking about? I totally said it was the third fastest.

What? No, don't pay any attention to that edit tag, that uh...must be a bug.

Spiked with DTilt for the first time. I could feel the salt.
Nothing feels worse than a nice simple Dair though. Especially when you do it right before they reach the ledge.

I fought a Shulk last night who put on his speed thingy. He ran off the edge to trick me with a Bair but I nair'd him instead. Then as he jumped up for dear life I spiked him ever so simply with a short-hop dair for a 23% death. Poor fool couldn't reach the ledge... So close yet so far.

Anyway short story is, he rage quit.

Dtilt is considerably harder to land though. It's incredibly situational even more so than Dair. Gonna start using it more.

Shin's been absent for a while, the poor guy probably damn near killed himself by trying Lunatic mode in Fire Emblem: Awakening.

I got to the pirate base in Metroid Prime 2. I like how the command has to constantly remind the staff that baby metroids aren't pets and one metroid was fed pet treats. The pirates aren't all bad. I think metroids are cute too.

Got a friend a Wiimote + Nunchuck for his birthday the other day. He has a WiiU but didn't have a wiimote and couldn't play his copy of Metroid Prime. Hung out at his place for a while and watched him play for a bit. Needless to say, I will be purchasing the Metroid Prime series for the WiiU as soon as I get my fat paycheck this coming Friday.

It is. My game has improved ridiculously since I started using GCCs. It's preference but I really hated the pro controller.
So did i, it was good at first as an alternative to the gargantuan Gamepad but the sticks are way to sensitive to pull off tilts and walks effectively which are all crucial to this game.

I ended up buying the Mayflash adapter though so I'm praying it's just as effective as the Nintendo edition.

I've been using one of the GC controller extensions they released. It's passable but not quite the same. I couldn't find a ****ing adapter anywhere.

Amazon, my friend. At least the mayflash one is easy to get. They sell the Nintendo ones for like 50 bucks if it needs to be that one.

Hey all, I just got the 3DS and have been fooling around online for a bit, but I'd love to get a noob-friendly practice partner or anyone even remotely interested in giving some feedback. Thank you! Friend code is on the side.
