I suggest playing Halo 3, it's arguably the best one in the series. I do plan on buying Halo 4 next year.

Reach is a good game, it's just that I don't like the MP. The maps aren't very good, they relied too much on forge and some of the armour abilities (like armour lock) are annoying and scrubby IMO.

I plan on buying Gears of War 3 and MW3 this year. Bioshock: Infinite and Halo 4 next year. So little time, so little money.

There's not much variety amongst the games available today in that genre. And unless you plan on playing the Multiplayer, there's even less available with enjoyable content for singleplayer.

from what i've seen, the cod games have a very engrossing single player mode. however, the multiplayer is just kinda annoying to me. i ask people how to play and they say "it's pretty simple.. you just try to aim really well!"

i don't like that haha. i know there's more to it but if i can't even get that down, i'm done LOL

Eh, it's up for debate. The single player hasn't evolved much in the last four iterations. Stories were different, and I suppose in that sense there's was decent experiences to be had. Still, there's not much outside of run, stop, shoot, scene, run, stop, shoot, scene.

Some FPS games you might like are old ones like Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Marathon. Because they aren't linear like most FPS games today.

I can't get enough of Doom. I always enjoy making those demons fight each others because of friendly fire. XD

hm. you can edit out the black to be transparent in photoshop or something, and make the image into a PNG. that's how mine is right now, but the image i downloaded was already a png with transparent negative space

Exactly the way I got raised as far as gaming goes, I never got into shooters until high school, for the most part I love them but not as much as fighters.
