LI smashfest... I need support...

I got the OK from my parents... If I can get enough support I WILL be able to throw smash fests in my backyard when it gets warmer out. It's spacious and all I'd need are TVs and Wiis. If NY pulls through this can be great. I could also probalby hold a tourney for melee and brawl.

I agree. LI is mad boring when it comes to the competitive scene- not because of a lack of skilled players, but a lack of tourneys. I would love to take part in this, and i have plenty of friends who would enjoy it as well. I would suggest having tents and canopies over every setup, just in case of a sudden weather change. As long as we have adequate coverage, I wouldn't mind bringing an entire setup. My TV is perfect for this sort of thing. Obviously, my participation all depends on the date you decide on. I'll keep checking back here for more info.

i'm down for this. i live in suffolk county and theres no competitve scene and it KILLS me. i live by exit 53 LIE, but i dont mind driving to Plainview.
and i no a few people who would be willing to join this too. so yeah if something soon comes up, PLEASE pm.

Yeah, even if it's Brawl, more good players wanted @ Hofstra, just so the new gen of Hofstra students realize they can't escape good players in Brawl either .

Even though it's out in LI (and I'm in Brooklyn), I'd be down to go for a smashfest. LIRR is a pain, lol. I could bring a Wii setup if need be.
