I vote no poll.I could have a poll on if there should be a poll.
Suggestions about the poll, anyone? Ano?
I wish nintendo would re-release Chrono Cross! After beating C Trigger I really want to play it.
Anyone been playing any Zelda games lately? I really should play Oracle of Ages that Arcade sent me through mail. So nice of him! But lately I've been playing Chrono Trigger. I've finished it a while back and like I got this sudden urge to play it all over again!
Ganon drains your heats at an insane speed! He dies fast too. You have to retrace the whole dungon if you dieI got to Ganon in the original Nintendo version a couple months ago and he killed me and then I ragequit and haven't picked it up since then![]()

Also I've been playing alot of Chess lately.![]()
Good luck!Just to let you guys know, I'm going to MLG Columbus, OH - June 4th-6th.
I fully intend on going solo Link here, but I know at my current level I would get crushed, so I have a favor to ask. When I get out of college for the summer can people play me on wifi and critique me heavily. I fully intend on placing with Link, like I'm going to be practicing 5/6 hours a day 2/3 weeks before the event starts, don't tell the Lucario boards I'm going solo Link.
I will practicing Lucario here and there so I don't get rusty with him, but Link is my main objective for practice.
Someone who knows how to powershield well and grab is you're worst enemy; practice Zair and hitting from the tip of Link's reach. Dash Attack Canceling isn't as good as it seems in some of the videos posted.Awsome. I was wondering if there was one on the Link boards anywhere. Nice thread.
Sometime hopefully in the near future I'll attend a tournament. Right now I've got school and work so those two things have been taking up a lot of time. It's not a problem for me though because I know I wouldn't do all that well with Link at a tournament with my abilities anyways. This down time gives me a chance to play a few matches against friends here and there. I'll wind up being better prepared for a tournament sometime this summer when I do attend one.
I hate hearing that powershield sound because it means that my opponent did the easy as hell Brawl powershielding and can punish me at their leisure. Also the easy powershielding makes Link's projectiles not worth a dang thing. fun times.I haven't played much Zelda since I beat Zelda II again a while back... amazing game. I have been playing Link online in Brawl though, and found a stupid trick with him. I'll show it to you guys when I can record it, but it involves jumping, double jumping, and fastfalling a bomb dthrow so you can auto-powershield the bomb. Useless, but fun to do. I just love hearing that powershield sound.
That's why this is one of my favorite matches to reference:In theory, a player should be able to Power shield all of Falco's lasers shot at them, projectiles in theory should suck balls yet people can still make camp games out of it because the projectile forces a defensive option and there are bad areas where trying to PS a projectile is actually a bad idea.
Except that falco has the fastest projectile that is also the most spammable. Whereas Link's projectiles are all slow and easily PS'd or avoided while not really having to compromise on approach. In theory, a player should be able to Power shield all of Falco's lasers shot at them, projectiles in theory should suck balls yet people can still make camp games out of it because the projectile forces a defensive option and there are bad areas where trying to PS a projectile is actually a bad idea.
It nicely complements the string of profanities often unleashed at that moment too. But hey, at least it's your fault when you die in Zelda II, unlike in games like I Wanna Be the Guy, where random spikes fall from the sky with no warning.Zelda II. How annoying is it when you game over? You pretty much get a seizure.![]()
What ticks me off even more is Link's air movement + the opponent PSing. Link can't move very far and has trouble getting behind opponents or landing where they can't shield grab and do mean chains or combos.Except that falco has the fastest projectile that is also the most spammable. Whereas Link's projectiles are all slow and easily PS'd or avoided while not really having to compromise on approach.
Woah there boy. There were a few moments were he tried to make that look like the Melee Falco v. Marth MU. We can't have any of that in Brawl. That's why this is one of my favorite matches to reference:

He shows the usefulness of Powershielding, the necessity of approaching, and the utility of baiting. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Mike is my favorite Brawler of all time...
