I have triggered fights when I pivot grab and don't pummel or throw them. Not a lot. They usually do pivot grabs back and make a competition out of who gets in the most grabs before the timer runs out.

Heh yeah. They think its ok to attack just cuz we're fighting. I'd say the thing trending right now is that theres more pacifists and fighters than there are taunt parties. Atleast for me it is.

I wasn't happy with constant taunt parties I've been getting. Looks like I might have to crash them. I know I'm rusty a tad bit from not playing for a while but I quickly get my groove back in a short amount of time.

Idle honeypots

A very slight trend I noticed recently are the "idle honeypots." They act like they're away, waiting for someone to attack. Watch out crashers, it may be a trap! Anyway I decided to try it out myself yesterday. Sure enough late in a match, a ROB swung a baseball bat at my idle player. I came back to own his ROB for the next few rounds. He eventually tried switching to MK to no avail. The 2 Kirbys saw it as justice served and we all picked Kirby after he left just for the fun of it. I really just wanted to 1v1 the ROB, but the Kirbys interpreted it as the ROB being a crasher, taking advantage of my idle character. Oh well.

Sounds like some bored teamers that just want to fabricate a crasher in an otherwise friendly group to exile from said group. Sad. :c

One time I pretended to be afk in a taunt party and in sudden death one tried to eliminate me (because he thought I was afk). I shielded his charged smash or whatever it was and then he was like 'ZOMG, sorry sorry sorry!' Though it was just for the lulz of freaking him out, not to create a crasher out of the group.

Its kind of a lasting trend cuz I've seen it many times mostly cuz I've also pretended to be afk. :troll: When I get attacked, I shield and the guy either tries another attack or steps back and crouches repeatedly. I like it when they do the first one cuz then I have a reason to fight them.

I like messing around with people who accidently hit me. I usually run at them and do...

1. Run past them
2. Run Shield / Sidestep
3. Grab and release

and then taunt.

More fun ways to mess with taunters' heads

and then taunt.
Additionally, you can start up a match by running up to them and use a taunt that almost resembles an attack, such as DDD's side taunt or Fox's up taunt. It's amazing how often the bad taunters mistake it for an attack and fight you. Once they do this, I consider them fair game for a 1v1. It's a great way to break up what would have otherwise been another dull taunt party. :-) Perhaps I'm revealing too many of my methods....

Yesh infact. I have this tendency to get interested in characters I never use. Example being Snake, and I've been ****** with him online. Another trend I've seen is that theres more Snake players. For me anyway.

I had one match where nobody moved. At the beginning, I plucked Pikmin, but that was it.
With 4 people.

A lot more people attacking AFK players. The sad part is that the one attacking an afk player is already good to begin with. Stupid scrubs....

Meh, people who attack AFks should get 2x ****, hate nubs who try to rack up free points.

Ya gotta play the patient game with those who attack AFK peeps. Show no interest in them killing the AFK, they'll stop (Not all of them will.. ignorant) and they'll eventually focus their attention on you. Give em the smack-down of their life.. they will zero-in on you after that match until they rage-quit or you leave. :awesome:
