I teamed w/ Jrugs @ Whobo. We did pretty good, and I am actually more comfortable teaming w/ a Snake than most characters. I mean he is soo heavy, and has a great field presence and stage control. I'll admit that Pit is no G&W/Wario/Snake level when it comes to teams, but I think he's a tier below in terms of how useful his toolset can be.

Ok, so I have been doing ladder, and this is the best I've done in any ladder. I'm at 1582, and that's the highest I've ever gotten. I was not able to make it past 1500 2 seasons ago, and a couple years ago, I could not make it past 1200. I'll admit that I'm not that good of a player, but I have been improving a lot and my dedication/hardwork is starting to show. I'm also going to pick up ICs seriously, and I think with more experience, more time to learn this game, I could be a top player by next year(hopefully).

Also, Denti is the biggest troll I've met, lol. I beat him game one on SV, and then got demolished the next two games. I think in the Olimar matchup, you have to play safe, but you have to try hard not to play on the ledge because Olimar can keep Pit on there while Pit is not able to do much damage. I think that's why I beat him on SV because I was fearless, and I approached and did safe attacks, but then as the matches progressed I stuck to the ledge more, and dealt less damage and became easier to read.

I'm still stuck on what to do vs MK. There was this good MK player that had great tech skill and beat me. My form and positioning vs MK is off, and I need to get better @ using Mirror Shield for Tornado usage. Also, the MKs seemed to have learned how to land laglessly from Tornado, so f-smash to punish their lag doesn't seem to work so often, unless it's just a wifi thing, so grab reads are better, because the MKs I've played shielded after Tornado or they spotdodge, so wait-->grab or jab beats that.

If they're doing Auto-cancel nados on shield u can jup cancel upsmash those. or nair OoS. The only reason nado auto cancels is if u space it so u fall for 30 frames so none of the nado frames transfer to landing lag.


I wouldn't advise nair though. That move is kinda booty vs mk.

MK's nado will always have at least 29 frames of ending lag (by that, i mean 29 frames between the last hitbox and the frame that you can do something again) so you're safe to do things to it for the most part

Ok, so it must just be a wifi thing where I couldn't punish them, but it's good to know that we can punish them w/ fsmash if they land too close.

Also, I enjoy reading the old Pit threads. Kupo, Sage, Underdog, Rogue, and Admiral used to run this place back in the day. There were so many good Pits and Pit tricks/strats were discussed so much more back then. Well at least I can look up and read all the old threads. It's actually helped me especially the IC matchup. R@vyn posted the discussion thread, and I used all I read to beat an IC main on ladder.

I don't know how you guys feel, but I feel like I'm on my own when it comes to getting better with Pit, but I know that's not the case because Kuro & I talk, and I know Luckay/Tara, and Maharba/Esca are working to get better too.

so i went to a dallas tourney yesterday. i didn't enter but i won some MMs and actually i entered doubles but we only advanced a little. however next month at ascension is where im gonna rise from the shadows and **** the world. just watch, maharba is about to go ham. the games i played with people yesterday confirmed for me that i am going ham at the tourney next month

Not as mediocre as meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :pit:

Lost to mampam last stock for the fourth tournament in a row round 1. Wrecked a wario with pit and falco and lost to a new ICs. I don't feel bad about it though...since he almost beat mampam's diddy and almost never drops grabs.

Now that i have wifi though i'm gonna be doing wifi more. Ik i'm good i just don't have anywhere near the exp i need/want and i think it's about time i tapped that resource.





Also, Sword Art Online is an amazing anime so far. That is all.

Also, due to lack of activity, I find the best thing to do is look @ old threads, old posts on the Pit boards because somehow all the good Pit knowledge is from the late 08-10 era, and I find most of the information inspiring and definitely helping me out in learning Pit to the fullest. I have issues with jumping into ICs because I want to be a beast of a Pit first and "finish what I started."
