Lol, I didn't cry but I was like...what!? Is that really the opinion? It's crazy, but it shows we have some work that we still need to put in...Also, i cried a little inside in the tier list thread when i saw people put Pit in D tier
FYRE, what strategy is this? Explain...
Also, Kingtoon's TL is annoying, lol--how do you beat this fool? What can Pit do vs TL? Just camp and punish landings?

So easy man. Kingtoon uses too many bombs. Just regular shield his bombs, then jump and z-catch them or quick-throw them back. Powershield arrows, and reflect (some) boomerangs.
Stay out of range of zair.

AR his arrow canceling at a range the AR will hit TL. Retreating Dairs at low percents are worth it, higher percents risk there Usmash trading for their kill. Jungle with Uair from the sides to avoid his Dair. DI and wait to react to their follow up attacks after they Dthrow you. Get him off stage and keep him there. Also TL does outcamp us at his optimum range, but even so you can maneuver arrow shots and still get in hits. If you can keep things long(er) distance then camping starts to lean back in our favor.
Finally isn't one of Kingtoons favorite approaches Boomerange overhead, Pull bomb, Auto cancel arrow, throw bomb, rush forward to grab/Fair/Nair/Usmash? If you shield both the bomb and arrow pits awesome Froll can avoid the rest leaving you to punish. I know he'll mix up the approach, but from what few vids Ive seen, seems to be a trademark tactic of his to keep in mind.
Some of my initial thoughts/experience anyway... Worth trying out perhaps.

I just had a blast from the past @__@. I was lurking around (lol XD) and I suddenly remembered that we made our own Xat. So, I decided to go to it and I expected that you guys had used it and I would run into you guys. I didn't find conversations from this week, though..... I found a conversation that I had with Suyon back in 09 @__@.

Seeing it kind of made me feel bitter sweet ^^;. It brought back memories of when I first signed up on Smashboards ^__^.
Since remembering we have one, I think I'll repost the link. Xat is basically like a live chat room. If you guys want you can use it to have some conversations and stuff if you'd like ^^;. I don't know if it'll be useful, but it would be nice to have, right?

I didn't realize how good of a Matchup Spread Pit has til I looked at it today. It's like top3 in Mid Tier with Tink and Peach.

cuz most of us started going to tournies (actively and consistently) this year. the old pit mains made their mark and just left with a huge gap in tourney rep for almost a year

I personally place Pit at the bottom of C tier just because of poor results, but his MUs are too good to be D tier. Even factoring in a slight inflation in a few.
The best he'll ever do is maybe bottom of B. MAYBE. That's a very big maybe.

Because he has good matchups that aren't exploited as well as they should be. It's not that hard to believe though, because he really does goes even or better with most of the characters in his own tier, and loses to characters that are prominent in bracket.
I also think Pit is probably high C-tier. Low B-tier is a bit much considering his MUs that he loses PLUS his results. But maybe that will change.

Match went superb, had a lot of fun, smashville first round. Got nearly rocked but came back from being 3-stocked to only being 1-stocked with him at low percent. Then one BF I revenged him right back, but only 1-stocked him myself as well.
But here's the clincher. He CPs me to Brinstar. I LOVE Brinstar. It's so fun for Pit to get those much-needed early kills and you can abuse the acid by forcing your opponent in easier to exploit positions. I was doing well, had 74 percent when I took a stock lead... But then it started lagging. Like. Lag-LAGGING. Like. 4-times as slow speed-lag. I literally could not move properly (while, you know, Meta has 5-6 jumps and can do whatever) for about 5 minutes game time (from 6:30 to 1:30)... I felt like, after the entire match going just fine, that he had purposely started lagging.
I ended up disputing the ladder match because he didn't admit to lag and said "I" lagged the match, and he proceeded to time me out... calling me names, etc... Gotta love the angst. He timed me out with 2 stocks on both of us, with 20ish percent lead (in the 140s for me, 120s for him)... Like seriously, how is someone with such a low-score that hell-bent on winning that they force someone to play a 20 minute round? Oh my gosh...
Anyways he was pretty butt hurt about my accustations and I'm pretty sure I won't get the win for him cheating. But as long as the moderators know of his abuse, maybe next time someone disputes him they'll get the point across. Don't play Zetty. He's good, but I highly doubt that lag was natural.[/collapse]

alright, seriously. stop accusing us of match up inflation. im really getting sick of other character boards who don't play our character as their main thinking they have a clue as to what they are talking about. the only thing that may be exaggerated is that ICs might be a -1 but stages with platforms and sharking give us a MAJOR ADVANTAGE so when you factor in CP, it's even. snake should never have been a disadvantage in the first place. i can see oli being a -1, im also the ONLY pit here who thinks that anymore due lack of match up knowledge. another example is i have played the falco MU soooo much, i find it to be even with MY playstyle, but other pits have a hard time with it still so once again, im the ONLY pit who thinks so but the situation is reversed. as long as people keep saying we are just dumb and don't ACTUALLY EVER TAKE US SERIOUSLY, we aren't even given the courtesy of our opinions counting anymore (and those saying we inflate our mus probably don't play good pits either).
i mean ya, you supreme have SOME experiance with pit, but definately not a high level pit, because only 3 pits in the US are NEAR top level.
but seriously, all of the other character boards (that i can pretty much guarentee have little or no experiance against us) can either stop treating us like we are just trolls and come in here and be legit, or go **** themselves.

Definitely not worth it. I've stopped caring about Pit's placement on the Tier List because I've given up that we can convince the BBR to put him higher. My goal with Pit is not just to represent him better, but just place well with him and prove that he can hold his own with even the toughest characters. I don't care if the BBR doesn't put him up on the tier list anymore, just as long as I place well and win matches. That will say a lot more about Pit than arguing with people who just can't see what we can on these boards.
Why do tier list placement matter so much to low and mid tier mains? Your character isnt ACTUALLY better based on how it gets moved around on the list. At least in the US you have a shot at making some paper in mid tier tournaments. Do you really want all your wins to be creditted to your broken top tier spammtastic campy character?

Anyways, lucario matchup is done. I'll be posting the summary sometime monday/tuesday. I also got my liscence and finished my graduation ceremony so we can get like 3-4 done in the coming 3-4 weeks.
I want yall to tell me WHAT MATCHUPS YOU WANT TO DISCUSS. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY WHAT YOU CAN DISCUSS! Cuz i absolutely despise how the diddy one went tbqh.

well I'd discuss it more myself but I cant be much help, I've only played Count's diddy in a mm once and it went dead even practically. He won by time out on RC of all places (neither of us really knew how to play the MU there LOL)

There isn't really much to the Diddy matchup lol. He's just one of those characters where you have to avoid his guaranteed combo's like ice climbers so you just gotta watch where you land and observe the entire stage at all times.

Diddy kong Im starting to like that match up. Once I get the single naner lock down with Pit, I already got it down with peach, mk and Marth
call me crazy, but even though i don't know any of the nanner locks, or how to use them very effectivly myself.....i just love the diddy matchup, not saying i'm good at it honestly, but its one of the very very VERY few matchups in brawl that actually are exciting for me to play.
