Wots All This Then?
Smash Lord
No that's essentially what I'm asking here. Either scum is acting stupid (on Rake or the mystery caller's end), or they're throwing wifom on if if they have free communication or not to town.

Fab or Ruy right now.Laundry who do we want replacing joker in the room?
This is what I'm worried about as well. On the one hand, I have no reason to distrust that particular information and yet I still can't make sense of it. I'd wonder if tomfoolery existed but in this event, it shouldn't, should it? There's nothing in this game to allow for that?No that's essentially what I'm asking here. Either scum is acting stupid (on Rake or the mystery caller's end), or they're throwing wifom on if if they have free communication or not to town.
The only one trivializing this is you. Regardless of if he's lying, this is incredibly telling information about either him or the mafia and the fact you're downplaying it is ridiculous. You know better.Doubting the legitimacy of something this trivial is ridiculous. Assume he's telling the truth, take it as null, and carry on.
Soup did you cheat
It's not really much of a mafia game and there's been a lot of headcracking from a few people's parts to get people to continue playing and to keep reading people because those elements still exist in this game and there's been resistance on that part. A lot of morning phase 1 was spent dealing with that, actually, and even then there are still a few rebels (Soup, Gheb, and Kantrip to name a few).So Wott's post was relatively helpful. Gonna just go with the flow. Will worry more about phases other than Morning when we're in them.
One thing that is still kind of tripping me up though is how scumhunting is actually intended to work in this game. No flips, and apparently we mainly eliminate scum by beating them in matches so they can't advance? How do we decide matches? And how do we decide byes based on no info? Anyone wanna give me the super Cliff's Notes on how that all unfolded on D1 and D2 (or at least D1)?
Very little of this game seems to be a mafia game.
'Kay, good to know.Negative. I actually tried to cheat my 2nd match but I screwed up the formatting and just got lucky against TTK.
I know the feeling.Barely remember my reads now. Balls
Rake supposedly got a text last night. Considering that the OP only mentions one role with a phone and that that role belongs to mafia, this essentially means mafia tried to contact him last night. This means either the mafia don't know each other, that particular mafiat can send messages out to anyone in the game (but I don't see why he'd send a message to Rake), or Rake is mafia and is feigning ignorance. What's the talk about Rake getting a text? Are you allowed to out what the message said?
Current gameplan is to figure out how to play the game. I have no reads other than Wots been helpful to me and he doesn't have to be, and that Kanty going full gut on his reads is no bueno. Whenever Kanty has played well as town, it has been by being relatively analytical (I'm thinking of Persona mafia specifically).Circus, you replaced into a grimy as **** slot. I'm not gonna pretend you're Gheb and look for answers that way, instead just tell me what your gameplan is and what your reads are currently. Have you read up on the Rake/Gheb shenanigans?
The message was,
"..."
that was it, three periods.
Oh, got that jumbled. Sorry.Circus, talk has been made of throwing a match to a cop clear or the cop in cycle two, and gheb apparently throwing his match to rake.
This is the thing I can't wrap my head around. On the one hand, why would Rake out it? On the other hand, why would mafia contact him?Would Rake really take the initiate as mafia and go "hey, if i feign that i got a text, maybe it will somehow coincidentally clear me." Doesn't seem like a mafia rake thing to do. I think I'm leaning on the side of ****ery the more I think about it, though I couldn't tell you what idea mafia had trying to contact a townie.
We already knew about this. The only thing it does is confirm that the phone guy moves at night while poisoner moves at lunch. This means the pro and the dev move probably at match and at morning phase respectively. They have some sort of communication via NA that i'm verifying here at the least.
Nah he was likely fishing for Kantrip and really Kantrip alone. I doubt you were the reason at all for why he targeted you.As the room me and joey joined, **** the cop and whatever he is trying to do. I don't care. I'm guessing he's indy and not going to help us so we can't really cheat publicly at will. I'm thinking if you are town and you haven't outed that you were cheating, don't state it. It's hurtful for us to continue this way.
