I don't think he's switched it. He's just kinda, sitting on it? He doesn't anything with it let alone progressed it. I don't believe Kantrip would do this as town. I need to a full re-read later.

I think you shouldn't cheat unless you have to as a townie, because it makes it easier for the Tourney Cop to figure out who mafia is, if since mafia's going to cheat one way or another no matter what I would think. I felt that'd be pretty obvious, because well, Why should you HAVE to cheat as a townie ? The assertion that you should assume your playing against mafia and cheat because they will be is just bad, what does you cheating achieve in that situation, you still lose regardless and if you cheat against another townie and win that way, your by-proxy enabling mafia to get further in bracket's by knocking other townies lower and yes, I know someone has to win, and someone has to lose, but I don't think one townie should go out of their way to win, and especially not if it's against someone they, or even possibly thread consensus is town. The other assertion that cheating for the points in order to keep townies at the top of the bracket is also, but less so, bad, I think, I think it'd be better for townies to work under the assumption their matches are being reviewed, and I feel it'd be townier to refrain from cheating unless totally necessary to make the cop's job easier. I felt this line of thought would be pretty easy to get to, but I guess it wasn't or at least I should have used a lot of capital letters and shouted or something, apparently.

Because it would have distracted my opinion, usually I'm pretty open and willing to hear anything and everything and give it a good think out for my feels on it, but it is specifically because this game is different and complex that I instead chose to solidify myself first, and I don't think my approach is any less legitimate, in this situation, if I get too distracted chasing down everyone else's opinion like a wild dog before I have my own, I feel that would have ultimately resulted in me wasting very precious time. Why is me staying silent wrong though ? I opted to participate less and be less involved then usual because of what I just stated, why is me being more silent bad if I don't have anything to add ? Throwing a half-thought out opinion on something benefits no-one when I'm not going to be able to follow through on it. It wasn't only now I wanted to figure this game out, I've wanted to figure it out for a long time, I simply chose to prioritize my own understanding of it and be as involved as I could / felt was where I should be at the time, until such a point I was ready to create an open discussion about it and hopefully get some footwork done.

You can not buy it all you like, at the time those were my only thought's on the matter, I hadn't truthfully given any thought beyond winning to matches or the rest of it beyond reading the OP about them. What would a sufficient answer have been ? Like with your other head, I don't understand what you were expecting to hear from people with that question. Or how, with what is at best a lackluster / lazier answer, you can't just accept those were my only thought's on the matter.

Stance backed up, easy as pie.

@ Underlined: Because townies don't let townies stay in the dark Rake. You just told us you DID have something to add. But it took multiple people calling out your slot multiple times to make that happen.

As town you should have been very concerned that two other people in your starting room had a fundamentally different view on a game mechanic than you. I'd have very much expected even if you didn't care at all why we thought the way we did (and you should very much care about that, this is mafia), you'd have at least had the decency to enlighten others as to why you thought of your initial stance.

@Bolded: Anything. Literally anything with logic behind it besides "It's obvious". This is mafia, and moreover it's an experimental game of mafia. I'm not taking "I was afraid of being wrong" as a legitimate Rake answer. People are going to be wrong at times about this game, but it's the rest of town's job to inform them of what seems more right so it can be sorted.

My bad, I thought the day was still going since I saw my hydra has posted last :U

That can be deleted, but I'm not going to do it myself unless Nabe asks since otherwise all I can think of is to edit it to be blank.

We can learn from Poe what mafia may have poisoned and can figure out from the rooms what people ate or tried to lead people to eat.

Nobody in our room was around to make a lunch choice, therefore it was randomized. We originally agreed to Pho's but instead we went to Tito's Wendy City Pizza.

Maybe. But what can we do with that? I mean if we poe what maf may have poisoned, what do we do with that? Not go there? (pretty damn sure they wouldn't poison the same places again after we poe them) I'm saying it may be harmful to let them know where we went so they can be all like "Hmm well people went here so let's go here".

When do we learn what restaurant was poisoned, if any?(OP mentions poisoned restaurants being removed from the list of choices)

We can learn from Poe what mafia may have poisoned and can figure out from the rooms what people ate or tried to lead people to eat.
We'll learn what restaurant was poisoned from nabe, if any one place was. Ergo, we should keep things quiet. If we've got a pattern of places we are going to eat, then we can get outguessed by mafia and they'll try to hit one of the protown players. Later day phases as the eateries get narrowed down this is the right idea, but not yet.

Maybe. But what can we do with that? I mean if we poe what maf may have poisoned, what do we do with that? Not go there? POisoned places get removed from play after poisoning happens pretty sure.

Mod-If removal is successfully used on a mafia but the tourney cop does not make a correct public guess, does he still join the tournament?
What happens bracketwise to the tourney if both the tourney cops guess and removal are correctly used on a mafiat?

I don't. That's why I think it's very important to cover the tourney cop for as long as possible. I've been thinking about the best way to do that - I think it'd be smart if we tried to find a consensus on whom should be investigated by the cop. Then EVERYBODY will publicly announce that player as his investigation target. That way we can make sure that the cop won't be outed, even if he investigates a scumbag. We can give byes to cleared players. As long as the tourney cop is alive MAF cannot possibly win this game, I believe.

Would like to bring this up again as it's going to be kind of important soon.

What do yall think about it?

People should tell me their opinions on massclaiming "cheat/not cheat" come morning phase wrt matches from the previous day phase.

Don't see the point of that. As far as I can see, nobody has any reason to lie about it.

MKay.
So we should prolly only claim where we went if a restaraunt is poisoned.
Treat anyone who is poisoned as "not the poisoner"
Poisoner is whow e should aim to hit with removal if possible.

@bold

why?

Like, I've read the OP a couple of time and cannot see any point where Nabe mentions that only one poisoner exists, which I think is what you are refering to.

Mafia can slip up and lie. It's something we should hold people accountable for.
There's only one poisoner. He's not gonna poison himself.

:059:
OP said:
Of MAF's four members: each one interferes with the standard play of one of the four phases of Day Cycle 1. They cannot communicate privately without being in a hotel room with each other, except for one member with a trick up his sleeve... or rather, a phone in his pocket, and he's keeping an eye out for the Tourney Cop, too. One shadowy member has an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of Koopa VS Kefka characters, and no non-disclosure agreement is going to stop him from exploiting it. Or, will he take even harsher steps? Another is eager to make money, even at the expense of other hard-working restauranteurs, and other players' personal health. And yet one more is a top tournament player of another franchise, who thinks fresh blood in the fighting game market is a death knell for his ailing community, and isn't afraid to demonstrate how unbalanced this character roster really is. If you're town, don't let these scoundrels win!

Big read letters Gheb. One poisoner. Each mafiat can do something different. 651 explained my interpretations of this.

His wording.

Hard to explain but it looks like in that post he was trying to be helpful just not fully grasping what he said.

I get why people don't want to out meal choices but I think the pros outweigh the cons, we can interpret from that what people were leading people and who did what.

Slip up and lie about cheating? I think it's pretty much established that cheating can't really be held against anybody, isn't it? So what is there to slip on?

I'm OK with claiming where we went though.

Pretty sure you're town.

Soup is town.

I don't gAve strong scum reads since I've been on my phone but I am interested in looking at Kantrip and Seph Xonar hydra.

Early on you gave a weird vibe stance on me. I want you to talk about that, and why you haven't followed up with that.
