I don't care which design they use but if they give us Paon K.Rool for the love of god GIVE HIM A TAIL! That was the biggest gripe I have with the paon design if they gave him tail it would be perfect IMO. Maybe give him a slightly bigger dead eye as well. I always wondered did he cut his tail off? Or is his tail really his penis? Like in the Rare games was he always aroused did he take Viagra? Then in the Paon games he became "a grower not a shower". I just hate that inconsistency!

Nothing was said about being playable. The people who only care about who is playable are the fans themselves. As far as Nintendo is concerned a character in the game is in the game.

I think they should combine elements from both K. Rools designs from Rare & Paon to create a new modern look for the character. That way future titles can use this new look.

That's not a reliable source by any stretch of the imagination. Literally anyone could say that sort of thing; it doesn't make it true. I could say that we'll be getting a Nintendo Direct on August 26th, but that doesn't make it a fact.

All these constant leaks are really messing with me. I wanna have high hopes, but it feels as if the last 2 smash games have conditioned me to believing we will never get K.Rool out of some hidden unfair bias from Sakurai or Nintendo. I really hope we get to experience what all the Ridley fans did. It would be exciting just to come back to chat and see everyone's excited responses.

I don't see how that means a Nintendo Direct can still come soon, especially with the pattern of blank spaces happening before Directs in the past. Chances are, this Direct may not happen in terms of being announced tomorrow if there is no hint with a blank space before.

Paon Co. is the developer that was given the rights to make Donkey Kong games after Rare was bought out by Microsoft. They mostly made spinoff games like Jungle Climber and Barrel Blast. Later, the rights were handed to Retro Studios, which is how we got DKCR and Tropical Freeze.

Hm. I disagree. The only thing one could say is "gross" is the eye but that's so cartoony, I don't think it's gross at all. He's goofy, zany, maybe a little tacky. But the Bayonetta and Pikachu thing...that's a little too Ren and Stimpy for K. Rool. Rend and Stimpy on Spike Tv.

Another note I have is the timing with Nintendo's new trailers. They were revealed during the duration of SDCC. Given that these trailers and SDCC are going on at the same time, it's possible that they could put up a surprise character reveal at SDCC and put it on Youtube after.

My previous 5% estimation for the 22nd Direct has shrunk down to a solid 1% as the days have gone by; seems like it was just a lot of lucky semi-educated guesses. But obviously with SDCC going on, some sort of Smash news is still possible if very unlikely. Given that Directs are pretty rare these days, if we have any more than 2-3 more newcomers it'd be a bit unfeasible to shove all of the trailers into the Directs.

I'm down for a one of us spam until they lock this thread permanently after reveal. Just see how far we can get with everyone constantly posting the song in the aftermath so that we don't actually get banned or cause problems in other threads.

Every time I hear Gangplank Galleon I'm also reminded how much I need that stage with a good remix of the song to play on. It's too damn perfect.
