I'd be immensely disappointed. Geno would just makes thing worse because a one off side character from a 20+ year old game took priority over literally anyone else. Picking the worst choice for a mario character does not make up not picking the best.

Fortunately Luigi's Mansion will be assured to remain active as a series.

Luigi's Mansion 3 selling almost 8m units has definitely proven once and for all that this series is a huge one, and Next Level Games has probably already been approached by Nintendo about Luigi's Mansion 4.

Luigi's Mansion 2 sold 5.5m units so this series is here to stay.
