Always a pleasure to introduce new people into what it means to be good at TA/PPL.
However, time trial is all about your own skill yet at the same time, has absolutely nothing to do with your opponents. So I guess I like both VS and time trial.
Your opponent's skill level doesn't affect your game persay, but it's not like you play the match and it's like Player A got 13000 pts! Player B got 4000 pts! Everyone wins! Good work guys! There is still a winner and a loser. This is just a winner and a loser based solely on that person's skill.
Also VS. mode matches are incredibly boring and drag on and on, but let me give you the experience that forever burned in my mind how ******** versus mode is.
My cousin and myself are playing TA in versus one Sunday for the first time in forever. We had been always playing time trial. We both raise our stacks to the top of the screen and clear the entire stacks. The game then drops a garbage block that is about 1.5x the size of the screen on both of us and I lose because her's dropped a little bit sooner. The sheer fact that we were good enough to clear all the blocks on the screen meant that we did not have blocks to start getting rid of the garbage block.
You should not have to dial back your skill in a game on purpose because of how the game is structured. It would be like being able to waveshine someone into a tree to 300% but if you did then you would fall asleep and they could falcon punch you. Games should not punish you for being good. Versus does, Time Trial does not.
Edit: Oh and one last thing, and I'm sure you all knew this was coming.
You sure talked a whole lot of **** and didn't back any of it up. Didn't you? People like you are the worst kind of people. People who think they are amazing at a game and will talk inordinate amounts of **** without realizing that they don't know a thing.
I don't care what you have to say. You had your chance to back up your words. Hell I wouldn't have even cared if you had just manned up and played and afterwards just been like "****, I guess I really didn't know what I was talking about". Instead you took the chance to make a bunch of excuses to avoid playing. You are now just another person in the long list of people who have talked a bunch of **** and been unable to back it up. Around here we have a word for people like that. Noobs.
You know who you are. Hell I'd venture everyone knows who you are. Good Day Noob.
