Subs look like **** on VLC, but that's basically the only issue it has.
It is amazing for everything else.

My internet powers have obtained Starcraft 2.

codec? ffdshow is the only video codec you should need, like ever. http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
as far as viewing software is concerned it doesn't really matter. if you're watching episodes/movies, VLC's quality may not be the best, but it's awesome for general purpose. windows media player, quicktime, etc. are all fine imo.

also jace when ur watching a show with mpc open, right click and go to options then click subtitles and under texture settings crank the resolution as high as possible, it like owns

coreavc is a replacement h264 decoder, it makes big mkvs look purty and smoov. its pretty important if you're not running a decent machine

Guess you're right. I sorta think it marks the end of our growth as a community though... At the very least people might play more melee once they realize how terrible brawl is.

Reminds me of the time when we held up everyone from leaving because we wanted to do one more epic Samus vs. Ganon match. Or the time we got in trouble with the JCCC police since we stayed like 2 hours past when we were supposed to leave (though that wasn't really just Jace).
