I don't think a 4th generic anime newcomer is all too likely (and 4th newcomer who uses a sword). I'd find the main villain of Nintendo's 4th most successful and populer IP to be more likely than that.

we are in a forest now
Cranky Kong is in the background,
we see a plethora of Kongs with him- Tiny, Kiddy, Junior, Funky- all sorts of anachronistic messes. We see them clamoring. But what are they doing? They are all moving their hands in different patterns. It seems they may be cheering. Are... are they rapping? Is that the DK rap we hear?

No, no it is not.
Instead they are calling out to DK - banana prices!?!?
It appears we are in a Kong Stadium, a gameshow type of deal.
We hear a familiar voice taking the guesses from the Kongs in the arena- and the camera pans to DK, confused as always, scratching his head and seemingly unaware of what the concept of numbers even are. The friendly voice continues, and the camera rounds back to the rotund creature.
On the stage we see the host clad in green- a friend we have not seen in quite some time. Hair groomed back, skinny mike in hand, we trail up his body from his legs, as he takes the guesses from the Kongs in the background.
We hear DK make a guess, as we take a look at once at the face of the Gastrous Galleon Gator now in the garb of a Gluttonous Gameshow host.

He points to the camera, towards DK, to announce his incompetence. He takes off his costume, leaving on only his King Kostume underneath as he pulls a lever and the entire Kong family becomes imprisoned in a Kage, with Kremlings of all variety now surrounding them on top of the Kage (with the best visual ever, all Kongs and Kremlings in one shot, with DK and the King in the foreground).

King K rool tells DK one final thought, to prepare for his arch enemy to make his big re-debut!

Just remembered that I had a dream last night where a new Mario Baseball game for the 3DS was announced. Aside from being happy because of the game itself, K. Rool and the Kritters were shown to be playable once again. I remember dream me thinking 'Finally. The relevance argument is done.'

Hmmm, put me in the train of thought that one of these last Character Trailers is going to be a Villains one, I mean its so obvious, personaly I think we may likely get it at Comic Con this weekend, I mean it would be the killing strike. Now mind you I still think we have 3-5 more videos left, and that we will get 1-3 newcomers + 0-2 vets per a vid with at least 2 overall. Now in regards to villains the fact is we only have a handful of viable obvious canidates, and precedent sets that we will get at least 2 if not more. The 2 most requested Villains, and most likely canidates who also have a large historical relevance are obviously: K.Rool and Ridley.

Then I think we got a good chance of an F-zero Dark horse character due to Captian Falcon's early reveal, and the fact that another martial arts style character could cool, the three possibilities for that slot are obviously Black Shadow, Deathborn, or Pico, the first 2 being quite possible as they could absorb Ganondorfs old moveset giving him a new one. Oh and a Villain Reveal trailer wouldn't be perfect without a retooled Ganondorf wouldn't it

But ya that's my thoughts

Say you know what would be hilarious and ironic, is if along with King, Kaptian, Baron, and Krusha outfits Sakurai also gave him Tiki and Viking outfits as a joking tribute to the most recent DKC games, thus representing them too, with a tad bit of irony XD, he could also be the one character who has all alternate costumes instead of alternate outfits

So, one post in an entire thread complains about other characters and you're dissing the entire thread? That's like, the only time its ever happened. And frankly, I only liked it because I think K. Rool deserves to be in over Shulk, Isaac, etc., not that I don't think they can be in as well, or that they're "generic anime pretty boys."

Sorry just wanted to pretend to be Frieza for a minute to say that, but its true, we have enough Kongs, I want a character who is not a Kong, somebody to play as and fight DK and Diddy, King K Rool, a villain is more important than Dixie, we have enough female characters, I can't think of any more series right now that needs them, plus Dixie is not the best female character, might as well just put Candy Kong in, yuck.

Its not just looks, its the fact that we have nothing, but Kongs to play as, might as well add King Kong while we're at it.

Diddy is the only Kong I need anyway, cause Diddy is awesome.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm ALSO a strong supporter of Isaac. He's my #2, K. Rool is my #1. I have nothing against Shulk, I've just never played Xenoblade and don't care. I won't call him a "generic anime pretty boy," though, because I don't know anything about him.


As for Kongs... I think the DK franchise deserves both K. Rool and Dixie. As far as I'm concerned, that rounds out the DK roster nicely. Some people have suggested asking for even MORE reps. Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon are the "Big 3." DK is plenty popular enough for four, its right behind the Big 3, but characters like Lanky and Tiny just aren't notable enough. Funky would be more notable.

Awesome, welcome back. You seem more konfident in K. Rool's inclusion now than ever, it seems. Before you were extremely iffy about him being playable, now you've rated K. Rool even higher than I did. Granted, I'll never give characters a 100% for chance, because I don't think anyone is a "shoe-in."

To be fair, I rate characters differently than a lot of people in that, if I don't see any legitimate flaws to their likelihood, I'll rate them at least reasonably highly by default. Sakurai could have unknown reasons to keep out any individual character, so I don't think it's fair to individually penalize characters for what might happen that we can't foresee.

For the longest time, so many people, including myself, were all doom and gloom over us getting the remaining three Gematsu characters and no one else, but now that we've gotten two characters NOT on the list, the door is wide open for others to follow. Unless all of the love being shown for classic DK is completely coincidental, I think K. Rool will be leading the charge.

Why does everybody think K. Rool and Dixie are fighting for a spot? Dixie missed her chance in brawl. and DK already has his sidekick. I don't really see Dixie having any chance of being in as a playable character before they add a villain to the DK roster.
