Just started marth as my main.

I just started out as marth as my main and Im just looking for some pointers. I have never played with a chacter with long range weapons.

What are some pointers you can give me and what can I can I do to stop samus who just spam grab?

With a grab happy samus just watch them closely and find patterns in his grabbing, does he just dash in and try to grab or does he bait you into doing something so he can grab you?

Once you know where and when he will grab you can avoid them much more easily. stay in the air for one, or spot dodge/roll through them and punish.

He is a really aggresive with his grabs and I just try to get him to use his grab and jump in the air while coming down using my down B. Then he counters and shields the down B takes awhile so...

Don't use your down B so much? if he knows your planning on using down b of course he'll grab your ***.

excessive shielding can be punished with your own grabs, or letting his shield wear down a bit and breaking it with a shieldbreaker.

Spot dodge is your friend when stuff like this happens to you. DB and a slightly charged fsmash would help you after you dodge her laggy grab.

Pay attention to what you're doing when you get grabbed. Samus' grab is slightly laggy, so if he's getting away with it, it must mean you're being punished for something. Take note of what pattern you keep falling into and getting punished for, and stop doing whatever gets you grabbed. Next time they whiff a grab, punish with dancing blade.
