I've never heard anything quite like it. The songs have a groove I can't find anywhere else...

A sampling:

Baby-T
Aisle 10
The Concept Of Love
The Scrappy
Funky Dealer
Sweet Soul Brother
Ill Victory Beat
I'm Not A Model
Humming The Bassline
I Love Love You
Birthday Cake
Rockin' The Mic
Oldies But Happies
Like This Like That
Me Likey The Poom Poom

(Half of the entire soundtrack, actually! XD)

Sadly, I've never played the original Jet Grind Radio. That kind of game (really japanesey) didn't interest me yet back in my Dreamcast days. :ohwell:

lololololol.

Jet Set Radio Future. Nobody ever remembers the first one (although you did mention it).

But seriously, Funky Dealer was always cool.

Actually, I think this is the first time I can say anyone else there has mentioned this series.

One of my favorite games ever. Also one of my favorite soundtracks ever

Teknopathetic is definitely one of the best tracks in the game. Grace & Glory is pretty amazing as well, one of the best final boss tracks out there. Lately, I've also grown to like Count Latchula a lot as well

Man this brings back so much nostalgia, I remember getting lost in the sewers for hours

Oh god Teknopathetic was good. I have parts of this soundtrack on my iPod. xD

Only one I can't really stand is Birthday Cake. 80% because of the song, 20% because I hated Kibogoaka hill.

I am pleasently surprized this thread exists, the soundtrack for JSRF was amazing.

So many catchy tunes all the time.

+rep to everyone replying to this thread.

My favouite song was totally Funky Dealer or Sweet soul brother
(the choir just makes me smile when they kick in)

Man that game was great, did anyone else take the time to make any decent custom graffiti?

The only reason I ever played it was because the xbox had a deal that had JSRF and Sega GT bundled with it, I'm glad it happened though. :D

Oh dear god, birthday cake is horrific to listen too.

I forgot about her voice.......

Erk double post Lord Megatron! You must have it dismantled!

I remember playing this game a little bit when I was young... I never really paid much attention to the soundtrack, really (I can barely remember the story of it all) because of it. I did like the game, though.

SHOUT WITH ME!!

Haha, interestingly though, I used to hate the song but now I sort of like it. I looked up the lyrics online and I think they're hilarious. It's just one of those songs that has to be turned up loud to appreciate--then it's pretty easy to rock out to it

My favorite track is definitely Sweet Soul Brother. Number two is Baby-T, and number three probably The Scrappy. (Honorable mention to Ill Victory Beat, though - hearing that meant I just beat another grueling-but-fantastic level! :))

P.S. Fortified Residential Zone FTW! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Story? Both Jet Grind and Future had practically no story (although Future at least had a fair amount of background and reason in it). The most memorable parts of those games were the OST, the awesome graphics and style, and the raw fun that both had.

Too bad Sega won't ever make a Jet Set 3.

Also, from Jet Grind, Sneakman, and it's awesome.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdts93IDGyI

Favorite characters to play as?

Mines was always Beat and Yoyo but I mostly played as Beat.

Oh &
Upcoming releases
As of March 2009, Sega has recently renewed the Jet Set Radio/Grind Radio and ChuChu Rocket trademarks in the U.S. Speculation has lead to believe that both are soon to be rereleased on Xbox Live and/or PSN.
Hopefully this happens (if it hasn't already). I would definitely get Live / Microsoft Points for this.

Never played this game, but I've heard the song in the all star games.
I love the tracks from this game in there, so it's nice to hear the others too.
