Yeah, some of the differences are glaring, such as Fox +16, and Pit +14. Other than those, the basic structure of where most characters are is kinda similar.

It should be noted that Final Destination, Battlefield, Smashville, Yoshi's, Halberd and Lylat are the only stages allowed for tournaments there. Knowing that, I'm surprised Dedede moved down.

Also, "jap" is censored, which is the dumbest thing I've seen all day.

Link may be higher as the Japanese have too much honor to gimp him.
I mean, it is cold to gimp a Link.

I don't consider +/- 5 or less a significant enough change to actually matter when comparing the two lists and trying to get something from them. Just minor variation. Greater than +/- 5 makes me interested in looking at the differences though.

the final tier list for us will probably look more like the japanese one imo.

you have to remember that they probably have more pit players over there than we do, and less of different characters, so the metagame for their characters will probably evolve differently than ours.

also the japanese tier list has one less character because they count zelda + sheik as one person

Why is Yoshi so low? If the Yoshi player bans Battlefield then he really doesn't have a bad stage out of the five remaining. =/

Karamity, step it up! D:

The truly amazing thing is Fox, personally I believe that this means likely not many Pika players exsist (or they dont know the CG) thus enabling more Fox's, which in turn help evolve his meta game against other characters.

MK will always be #1 though

Remember people, just because your main is low, it doesnt mean hes bad in JP, just less users of him/less skill

YES +16 Fox, yay Fox :)
NOO too bad for Kirby though.
And YAY Link is up some :)

Maybe the reason Pit is so high
is because his voice is different in the Japanese
and isn`t a horror to the ears, so people
can actually stand to fight him and concentrate.

I'm pretty sure he had the 'AYAYAYAYAYAYAYA' in the japanese version too.

I'd find the results of a tournament in the US with just those legal stages interesting.

Someone should do that. If anyone, I can see Xyro doing it at like a HOBO.

Im willing to try it in my upcoming tournament Im making with Samus, but the results wont mean much if everyone uses the same old ppl that usually show up

Btw this is bugging me, why is Halberd a neutral in japan, and no CPing anyway. I know the hazards arent huge issues, but it seems...odd, and why isnt PS1 (which I hate with a passion) legal there?

Battlefield, FD, and Smashville are neutrals. Yoshi's, Lylat and Halberd are CPs.

(Halberd should be a neutral)

Pit's placement is probably due to his Yaoi fanbase.

Luigi -4

Good, Luigi should go down and be below Mario.

♣ There hasn't been any very good Luigi performance in Japan. Over all, Luigi is much better than Mario when it come's to recovery, more kill moves and combo's. If anyone say that Luigi should be low on the tier must not be playing him right. ♥
