Nietono and some players attended it. Apparently they didn't record any video.

It was so crowded that they didn't have enough time to analyze the game. Nietono played with Rosalina only for several minutes and he says her aerials were overall slow but her d-smash and up b were good. He also says Little Mac looked weak.

Just thought I'd let people know about Sumabato X 28 happening on August 23-24. Apparently its the final Sumabato for Brawl, and 9B intends to shift priority to hosting Smash 4 tournaments. Theres over 170 entrants signed up for it so far.

Kamemushi just uploaded his first combo video. It's pretty much the best.

Also Umebura 5 is this weekend. It will be Singles and Doubles. Confirmed so far include: Kamemushi, Otori, Kakera, Taiheita, Gomamugicha, Kie, Choco, and possibly the return of Rain and Mikeneko.

Sure thing. I follow the Japanese scene pretty closely and I'm willing to share any notable updates I come across as soon as possible. Though I'm not sure how much longer there will be SSBB specific news to report considering how close Smash 4's release is.

EDIT: Pretty big news. Japan started their from SSB streaming group (think vgbootcamp/clashtournaments) called SHI-Gaming. The group plans to provide bilingual updates (thanks to Ayuha) on Japan's current smash events, as well as providing a stream/articles etc. They will have a website up soon, but here's their twitch for now. www.twitch.tv/shi_gaming
They're live right now with Umebura 5. Umeki is also streaming Umebura simultaneously on nicovideo on his channel I linked above.
