Very nice, thanks for sharing. Please share anymore you may have whenever you can.

200 man online tourney...and Samus in the finals too? Impressive

Holy ****. Only Japan can manage a 200 person online tournament.

Thank you very much!

So, this all happened in ONE day??
Just assuming but usually with Japanese tourneys its single elimination. Combine that with Dreamland only-4stock. As well as only one match being played except for the finals too?

Yeah, it looks like the overall play time is much less compared to what we do, but still, organizing a 200-man online bracket over the course of one day is nuts. Just trying to imagine how the communication works to keep it flowing is mind-boggling. Those Japanese really take SSB much more seriously and are way more committed.

Hell, we have online tourneys with 10 people that take months to complete.

Because in Japan tournaments they set a date and time for a tournament, and everybody comes and plays all their matches in one go. Nobody wants to do Japanese-style tournaments in the US for some reason :(

It's funny because it's probably the opposite, we're too busy to reliably set aside a few hours of a day for video games ;) (except nolife losers like me)

Yes,Jousuke uses all the characters at the top level.
Pikachu will probably strongest in Japan.
DK almost equal Amasawa's
He has the strength of the true along with Red,Tatsuman!

Did they record any matches? I'd like to see some Samus dittos! :D

I heard they played online a little a few months ago, but hopefully they'll play a lot on console if Isai goes back to Japan.

That DK is quite good, but doesn't recover smartly.

He'll be in a position to recover either high or low (four DK-widths away and above the ledge) and opts to go low when there's a goddamn Jigglypuff 2 or 3 jumps into what is clearly a Dair edgeguard. Above or even straight into Jiggs in that scenario would be a much better option than trying to recover below the edge, spinning away, not moving horizontally, just waiting to be Daired.

When forced to recover low, he also charges headfirst into the ledge when he doesn't have to (especially against the Kirby), when he has a much better chance of surviving if he does that little pull back method or even spaces it well enough to still grab the ledge, but maybe benefit from the invincible arms. He pisses all hopes of recovery away when he sits there spinning up against the wall, smushing his face further and further into the cliff face.

^Me too, and that made me wonder if they were legit or if they were rigged for entertainment purpose. Lol I think that's too farfetched, they are all probably very close in terms of skill level.

I do think jousuke would have won with a bigger margin if he pulled out the samus earlier. Lost 1 stock taking 9 lol!

Couldn't you have just slowly walked against the wind?

Although I guess mashing A (or L) is a more reliable way. Just requires a bit quicker thinking.
