would also like to note that proxies such as nicozon are FAR less stringent about stopping media detectors (ie download of videos), though it's still hella inconsistent due to the coding used by NND

so if you're looking to archive videos, proxies or a dedicated downloader (japanese in origin is always better for NND) will be useful

Yo guys there are some videos being uploaded right now.

New Ness matches from the guy recently discussed in the Ness thread
南国 (ネス) vs ネスボ (ネス) - Ness Ditto
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17053841

たつまん[Tatuman] (ヨッシー) vs ネスボ (ネス) - Yoshi vs Ness
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17053914

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17054036

Also this Ness player was in a 12 character battle that was posted on nicovideo 12-30-11. Im looking at Yaneyanes channel and I cant find a match so it must have been nico exclusive.

ネスボ vs とろーり 【part1】
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm16566470
ネスボ vs とろーり 【part2】
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm16566732
^anyone know who his opponent is? Those moonrunes look very familiar

Some Red videos
たつまん[Tatuman] (ヨッシー) vs Red (マリオ) - Yoshi vs Mario

南国 (ネス) vs Red (マリオ) - Ness vs Mario
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17054083

Red (マリオ) vs king (ファルコン)- Mario vs Falcon
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17054167

Ill keep editing this post with the recent uploads unless someone post then ill keep going on a new post.

EDIT: Doing some digging while refreshing for uploads, pretty sure I found yaneyanes nico account. I'll post any stuff that isnt on youtube(to my knowledge, if they are let me know).

P1: ぶちまけ P2: プリンス P3: ネスボ P4: Red - 21 minutes of TEAM smash, TA is off.

the moonrunes are 'toroori' and the 'r' sound can be read as either 'r' or 'l', if that helps

i believe it's short for とろーりくりーむ, or 'toroorikuriino' (he has some 07 matches)

take that as you will

I've been watching some Prince lately and his Yoshi reminds me of mine way too much. And people are probably going to think I'm bragging or something, but seriously, it's freaking uncanny how similar it is. And the worst part is, he's even got the royal alias and red Yoshi.

Someone who has played my Yoshi a lot back me up :V

That's because there are what, 5 yoshi mains in the world?

If you mean yoshi PLAYERS, well, sossi doesn't even play anymore and I'm pretty frickin sure that isai and boom's yoshis AT LEAST got that **** on lock. Wouldn't be surprised if Alan's was better than prince's as well

Red mario is not even close to being close to second best

Also lol same ol' star king

as similar as your play styles may be, sk, i'm pretty certain prince has the upperhand in skill

you're right about isai being better but i think alan, boom and prince would all be on a very similar skill level

One thing is not being second best. But not even close? cmon. like with not many yoshi mains its even more so with marios. So good players that has him as a secondary like gerson and maybe jaimehr. Imo opinion theyr not as a good as red mario and at least not so much better that red mario isnt close.

I might forget someone really good and make a fool out of myself. But keep in mind the japanese call tatuman red mario and josuke the best in japan, on their newest player tier list. and josuke has done it good vs several top americans. lolwut delay but still.

Im suprised you think that poorly of him.

I don't think poorly of him, I'm sure he's one of the best in Japan

I just think poorly of Japan's skill level (exception being Jousuke who I worship as a god).

Other places are just better overall though

Maybe if Japan didn't play ****ing ONE-OFFS like a bunch of *****-*** TARDMONKYEYS they'd be better.

Also did you see boom's yoshi doing its thang against Isai's samus, **** was nuts

yup. I actually do agree with you on prince not being the top 3 best yoshis. his **** at combos, but he hasnt even made bracket 2 of the last 3 years in the kanto tourney. (its really hard in japan but still). hes **** but not that ****.

Red mario on the other hand, is definetly at least close to being the second best mario. May have to do with few really good mario mains though.

mains don't matter, no one mains anyone anymore

Secondary marios destroy reddie

IDK if he won a kanto or something I'd be coo with him

while i agree with you saying japanese players are good, (J) ness isn't perfectly comparable to (U) ness

so i would hold back on comparing that character, at least

Well he is a comentator so idk if that will happen. But the japanese says his on josuke and tatumans level so if I entered I think he would have a good chance of winning.

ITT: People either overrating or overhating on Japan.

how would you know? it's not like we have any videos of sk to go on ... :smirk:
Pete likes to make rash assumptions skill levels all the time. That's his thing, I guess.

Like once he said that Boomfan, Alancitu, and Prince are about the same skill level. HOW does he come these conclusions?

It's pretty easy to see the pattern, though. Alancitu and Prince make good training mode combos, so obviously they're t3h greatest.

Well, at least we can all agree their combod are fun to watch ^_^

disproving determinism
was kinda joking about being able to tell skill level from a video anyway.

but yeah for someone that hasn't played you online pretty much all we have to go on is reports that you're good and your own boasts ;) - not very much to compare you to another player on the other side of the world. at least videos would be a possible point of comparison.

i love making rash assumptions about skill

but saying someone who has beat players who have beat isai before you were born has more skill than you, is far from rash
