If people think of this as a Brawl vs Melee thread read this, cuz I feel this needs to be said. This is something that has been jerking me off recently and I need to get it off my ****.
Guys, I respect Melee and many of it's community members but... no yeah, that's it.
1. I love the awesome "Brawl sucks" posts everywhere.
I see members posting in the user blogs, UB, and other places on this user blog constantly trying to shove down people's throats that we're hippies and should all get along.
I care.
That debate way back when people were debating which game was better did all kinds of stuff including splitting this community in half. It also showed rigorously monitored debate about tournament potential, theory, and helped people discover their games deeper. Then even when that died down people continued to debate the technical aspects of melee versus the option/capitalization aspects of brawl.
You if want to debate a useful issue be my guest, and it gets you places and will spread all sorts of theories and research through the community.
Some people like myself enjoy playing Melee for whatever reasons we do, keep shoving an old debate everyone cares about down our throats. Which brings me to my next point.

2. Attendance goes up because a lot of people are trying to out do genesis in terms of "national" or "international" tournaments now. for both games really.
4. My thoughts on this.
Debating which game is better spawned a lot of healthy debate, and most answers were settled a long time ago and were left up solely to personal preference.
The elitist Melee goers have a great meme (that is only used when people decide to quit brawl), keep it up guize.
Brawl has some weird memes too, like Snoic's steak and MK preferring space spheres of the same sex.
I'm asking the community to keep being awesome and stop spawning butthurt people complaining over nothing.
I'm not trying to single out Red Ryu with this whole Blog, but it seems like to me that lots of people get way too ticked off by the memes of threads/debates that are long over. Nobody who effects the outcome of either games metagame (tourney goers) give two craps about the debates nowadays because both communities are happily independent.
Again forgive me if this gets locked, because... actually idk.
