I don't think TeamScape is too big. Maybe they're more like a 'smash alliance' than a traditional crew. Crews don't have to be a certain size, TeamScape can be what they want to be.

As for our own crew though, yeah, i'd rather it stay small to medium size. I don't have anything against Catnip joining, in fact I was impressed last smashfest as I watched him play some of his matches. I didn't know he had improved so much. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to actually play him though. As for two Falcos being in the same crew: So what? FTA has two Luigis, TeamScape had two Foxes. Falco is top teir and is slightly common. I think a good size for our crew would be to stay around 4-6 people. I'm not convinced one way or the other as to whether adding Catnip would be too much.

Shouldn't a regional crew be the best and/or most common participators of the region? What place do people who rarely or never play Smash have in a regional crew? If TeamScape wants to become a regional crew, a greater difference must be made in the two TeamScapes, and this change has to be reflected in all things, i.e., SmashWiki, banners, members, etc..

As it is, the conglomerate of the two TeamScapes cannot perform the function of a regional crew.

It would be one teamscape. But there would be a sub teamscapes within that aka the original members and the new members. It would be strictly smash related for the new teamscape. The "old teamscape" is a bunch of friends that play smash.

I really have no idea why crews are so important to some people. I mean it's great to have support from each other, but why does it have to be 'official' is what I'm saying. And why is it even an issue to have 2 people in the same 'crew' play the same character? Or that it's larger than a certain number? Who cares, really. Why don't you just all get together and rep your region?

Well, I'll tell you why. Back in the days after TG6, the Norcal smash community wasn't that big, and it stayed relatively small for a while, and the established people became known. Then there was a big boom of new people coming into it, and Sac was certainly no exception (seriously like 2 years ago there were literally less than 10 people that played, and now there are 2938795), and since the community was well-established, every noob that comes into the community thinks they have to prove something to everyone. For whatever reason, this is manifested in the rest of Sac having some huge identity crisis, which pretty much nobody else cares about, to be quite honest, and I'd venture to say the Old Guard of Sac is included in that. A crew is a group of friends that smash together. It's about as meaningless to arbitrate crew membership as it is friendship.

Btw, essentially there are currently two TeamScape crews. TeamScape the friends crew, and TeamScape the smash crew. The problem is that the line between the two is very blurry (hell, i'm not even sure who's in which). Delphiki was just saying that if they had an intention to be a representaion of the region, they should at least make it clearer who the crew even consists of.


Also, I agree/believe that it doesn't matters if two people in the same crew play the same characters, and that there should be no 'certain' size or any such thing as a 'official' size for a crew (I merely have a personal preference for my own crew).

All that matters in terms of a crew is what it means to the people involved.. They are the ones who will then make it into what they want it to be to the limits of what their ability and resolve allows.

Why is Tomi fawked? What did he do? As for me, I'm probably everything Sheridan said in a nutshell. I guess it comes with n00bish ambitions. But I wouldn't be in a crew if I wasn't friends with the members in it. I play smash to have fun, and I wouldn't have fun with people who I don't like. Catnip is like the only smasher that I get pissed off at, but I still play him and continously improve...except for DRGN and TC1 when they're in their "Johngasm" moods, and I only get irritated with them. But about the friends thing. Nova was created for us n00bs to have a crew, but everyone in the crew are friends with one another. But you know, DBR I believe takes crews pretty seriously. I mean, if crews are simply friends smashing together, why isn't boback in the crew? I don't need 230498294 flames, so if I'm wrong tell me so in a somewhat respective tone and we're all good.

The point was not that every crew is just friends, but that in our opinions thats how crews should be.

I dont see how making a distinction would be helpful. and if we did make the distinction it would probably hurt feelings. "You are in smash teamscape, not friend teamscape cuz we dont like you." or something like that.

and yeah, sac has had like 3 or 4 crews form and go away within 6 months because they form them on afternoon and get tired the next week. every crew looses members over time, so when your crew has been around for over 3 years lets see no changes in your crew.

IC vs. Shiek = grabs.

A grab should be a death, always. Even if you can't/don't wobble, you can (and should) use the D-throw chain. Do you know how to throw in the D-smashes and remove their knockback? With that you can get them up to like 60% in three throws. Just chase their DI and they'll DI.


lol I was just thinking....it would actually be hella fun if somebody made a crew which purposely featured only one character. A crew battle would be so fun!
