Glenn, tio can seed by location and by skill. What Jon and I did last time was his idea, and worked out really good. We just seeded randomly then moved around a few people, like King/Germ, me and my brother, and like one or two others. Most of it was random but we avoided crew members and top players from facing early. It worked out really well, but this time Jon did what I (and through me, him) thought was a good idea, and that is seeding by location and skill. As it turns out that causes seeding to be somewhat predictable, which is not good in a recurring tournament. In a real big tournament I think skill/location would be good but not so in a smaller one.
As for me running the tourney...if I see that things can be done better, I'm going to do what I can to make it that way. Jon, if the tournaments are your responsibility and you care about getting them done in a reasonable amount of time (which these ones weren't), you shouldn't be getting friendlies.
Brian - Jon didn't ask me to do anything except call a couple matches. And I like I said if I see something going wrong I'm not going to contribute to the problem by getting friendlies during the tournament, which would be completely hypocritical. And it just pisses me off a bit that I think people see me as the TO, and so when things go wrong it looks like it's my fault. The same thing prolly happened to some people with Neal at NCT2 - Karthik did a ****ty job, and because neal was doing most of the work it makes it easy for people to think it was Neal's mistake.
Tyde I'll team with you next time. You're actually going to make it? lol
Btw, I know that my huge rant was completely unnecessary and childish.
