You know what is truly broken?
99% unleash Sol Blade Isaac/Felix, 90% unleash Excalibur Felix/Isaac, Garet and Piers, along with 90% unleash Tisiphone Edge Jenna and Ivan. 85% unleash Atropos Rod on Sheba and Mia to round it off in the end.
You won't need to use psynergy ever again. You can manage using this even against Dullahan.

You need to use a "bit" of Djinn and psynergy even with the broken setup for our super boss numero one.
Plus Charon is dangerous even if your party is not weakened. The damage isn't that great, but that insta kill effect definitely is.

Thanks for putting me on the list.
Just started The Lost Age after many attempts with the Gold password. Then my old DS needed charging *sigh* Still, already enjoying it.
When looking at the Chris's tweet saying about the lens flare increase *blah blah blah* I failed to notice the yellow on the far left the first time. I'm also apparently immune to trolling cause they haven't affected me, weird.
I still think it's Isaac, all the hints point they do.
Only time will tell.

Add me to the support list. I honestly have been checking this thread every other day for years. Been supporting Isaac since 2007 for brawl. One of my favorite 3 video game characters ever

Ok guys, i think some of us are suggesting Isaac in the "wrong way" on the smash ballot (which is more like a suggestion box than voting, but i assume you already know that).
What I mean with this? well, i've seen that, when you submit the "reasons" of why Isaac should be a playable fighter, you suggest movesets based on in-game cameos, his "potential", the importance of the franquise and his popularity, etc. And i don't think that isn't what sakurai is looking for, after seeing his inteviews and comments about the new characters he introduced, he talks about the playstyle, mechanic or mofit of said characters rather than reffering their movesets.
With that in mind, i think what sakurai is looking forward for a character that, apart of being popular, that could bring a new and unique playstyle of mechanic like the character he introducen in smash 4 (excluding clones).
And lemme lecture you to a misconception that people have, movesets DO NOT create playstyles, the movesets are made and choosen to support said playstile or mechanic. I believe sakurai choose to made a playstyle based on an element from the source material, and design the moveset around that, giving each move (specially the special moves) a unique role to suppot that design. The same goes with canon based moves, which are neat refferences and easter eggs, but only gets in if they fit the mofit, those get into the design, but if not, will not be included or redesigned, or replaced by another move that fulfill a better role.
Hope you can understand what i mean with this,. Personally i made my suggestion on the ballot based on this, first explaining what Golden sun is bout - a game where the heroes uses the power of Psynergy for two purposes: manipulating terrain for advance on their quest, and for defeat enemies of their way. Then i mention, based on what i said, that Isaac, protagonist of the first game, would be a Space-control character, that can setup his and his opponent position, using his psyenergy for manipulate the terrain (temporary platforms made of vines, ground traps for example), and by moving his oponent away or close to him with his "Move" psynergy, finishing by mentioning "Ragnarok" as a finish move after "setting up" with his other moves.
This is not a rant, but more like an explanation on how we could handle our ballot submitions, so take it lightly,

So I just finished the story in Vault...Isaac is oozing with potential.
Thinking of stages (I realize I'm not all that far) but I think Sol Sanctum would be awesome! Have the stage start in the normal setup, then have a hazard of lightning from the trap. Eventually, the stage would go through the portal and go to the underground portion, which would eventually have lava hazards.
By normal setup, I mean the rooms when you move the statues to change the panels on the floor from sun to moon btw.
I think simply based on his earth powers, Isaac would be a great character. I'll add more ideas soon...I think i've got some neat moveset ideas for him.

That's true for some of the characters, like Robin (managing items), Little Mac (K.O. Punch) or Shulk (modifying stats) but not all of them, no? For example, I don't think WFT, Megaman or Palutena bring specific mechanics, am I wrong about that?I am not sure what you mean with that, please explain..

Anyway, what do you think of the idea of Isaac's Psynergy actually "modifiying" the battlefield: For example you use Quake, and there's really a part of the ground that stays above the normal level of the ground, and is breakable by anyone, but can be used as a new platform. Or maybe with Growth, the vines would stay on the field and slow down characters going through them.
Isaac's playstyle would then focus on trapping your opponents using your Psynergy wisely to modify the battlefield to your advantage.

WFT's deep breathing is arguably a new play style in itself, with it's short term buff, but it's not really good enough to make a whole lot of difference... Megaman though does bring a new playstyle thanks to his huge number of projectiles. Sure projectiles aren't exactly new mechanics, but projectile jabs are, and the way he plays is pretty new for the series.
Palutena... okay, you got there, Heavenly Light is a new-ish idea (negative zone predated, but not quite the same), but that's one, non-standard, special which again isn't enough to hugely change her play style...

Interesting...I looked up the Kumatora forum on smash boards to see how they are dealing with Smashified Shenanigans and apparently it's been defunct since mid 2014 for no apparent reason. Is the support for her really that low?

Not new mechanics, but for megaman a new playstyle, with a lot of proyectiles, but unlike other proyectile-based characters that rely on long range, megaman exceed on mid-range with all his proyectile options. WFT is more around a mofit, made around the fundamentals of yoga in almost all of his moves, and the importance of breathing during yoga for perform well your excercises (Deep Breathing nailed it there)
As for Palutena, on Uprising, i notices how she likes to brag about his Goddess powers, so how to represent that on smash? to let her have any move she wants (via custom moves, i know, but being the only one besides mii fighters to let her have different ones)

I like my characters simple, but your version of Isaac appeals to me somewhat. Psynergy Points could find an application by way of a limit to the amount of battlefield modifications, and reversions of those modifications -- through destruction, disappearance, or Isaac psychically eliminating them -- would restore said "points".

When you get further in the game, you will visit the lighthouses, and even further you get on a Tolbi ship and also a Tolbi coliseum called Collosus. And even further than that, in The Lost Age, you have the four elemental rocks. There's so many potential stages it's sad we'll probably only get one. (Though one stage is still plenty for DLC and a new franchise)
That would be an excellent way to avoid making it too powerful, I think! Thanks for this good addition.

Alright, I just got home so I'll throw some ideas out there.
Isaac is a swordsman who brings skills with Alchemy into battle. This makes me think something similar to Robin as far as Magic + Sword. However, the mechanic of the sword disappearing wouldn't work with Isaac. Or at least my vision of him. Not to mention the Levin sword gets tossed because of the FE gameplay anyway. Whatever.
ANYWAY...obviously Isaac learns different abilities concerning Earth psynergy. Thus far, I've learned quake, earthquake and spire. My ideas of implementing some of the different moves/abilities are just some simple ideas of how they could work. I haven't really nailed down an archetype for him, but I'm mainly thinking zoning.
I figured Move would be retained considering his AT, and that could be relegated to his neutral B. It can deflect projectiles (or at least block them) and can push opponents away. Useful for gimping some characters off the side of the stage. Kinda like F.L.U.D.D but better.
Not sure about the other specials yet, but for Down B I felt like quake might work. I thought there could be something cool with this though...what if the longer you hold B for this move, the further away the ground does damage?
I picture this like Jax from Mortal Kombat 9. Jax has a Ground Pound attack where, depending on player input, Jax will generate an attack on the ground at different distances from himself. They go from right where he's standing, to about mid-ranged, to long range. Isaac has control over earth, so this seems like a fitting idea. This could also work for his down smash if Earthquake were his dsmash.
I haven't used it yet, but I assume Spire could work well as an up smash, similar to Palutena's Usmash. It would be fairly strong (considering it takes lots of PP to use it in Golden Sun) and would have good vertical range. I wonder if making it also act as a wall would be overpowered...
If Isaac is based on putting quakes around the stage, it would be a matter of stage control and reading the opponent (in a one on one). You wouldn't always want to engage your opponent directly, but using the sword isn't a bad option. Using Move would be an excellent option to keep the opponent away or to get them off of you with a C-C-C-Combo Breaker.

There's not really a lot of options when it comes to Isaac's recovery, since we haven't really seen him fighting in the air (I guess he's not an air fighter, so all Isaac leaks from 4chan must be photoshopped Little Macs.
). One could argue that Isaac could use Whirlwind, but that's Jupiter Psynergy and not really a major part of Isaac's character, and it could potentially clash with Elwind. Otherwise there's possibly Lift as a potential recovery (Which I 'borrowed' from the Smash Flash 2 moveset), which is feasible as a recovery.

Quite a few people suggested that "Growth" would probably be the best thing in Isaac's arsenal to use as a recovery. To me, that's sounds appropriate, and like others have said, other psynergies like "Lift" and "Whirlwind" are also possibilities.
