To be honest, I can see Isaac work. I just played Golden Sun 1 & 2 on GBA again. Brings back so much memories. If he makes it in, I think he will be a very unique character.

Nintendo's choices for this E3 were totally far-fetched and prone to create polemics from the very beginning. The Smash Bros. presentation, the NWCs and the EarthBound Beginnings arrival are fine, but here's a summary of the flaws we've seen in the Digital Event:

1) Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash being developed by Camelot for the Wii U... Who asked for that? Fans have been asking for a new Golden Sun game for years, anticipating each new E3 presentation, waiting to see even a teaser of sorts, something. Golden Sun 2 was pretty much the best turn-based puzzle action RPG out there for years thanks to its universe, gameplay, characters, soundtrack and story. But it still is underrated - not known enough worldwide - and the flawed Dark Dawn didn't help much. Plus, Mario Tennis U DOESN'T EVEN LOOK GOOD.

2) Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. For 3DS? But why? Both M&L and PM already have an iteration on that platform, and I'll add that the footage only showed us a mere cross-over of their gameplay elements without adding innovative features.

3) DK and Bowser in Skylanders look cool, but it looked out of place in the presentation.

4) Star Fox Zero I was fine with, however it was bound to bring a fair load of ranting on the table since it seems like it pretty much erases the canon chronology established from SF Adventures. Also, people are complaining because of the graphics. I say c'm'on. Shigeru Miyamoto already delivered one of the best looking games this gen with Pikmin 3 AND does you the favor of bringing Star Fox back to life AND YOU STILL DARE COMPLAINING ABOUT MERE GRAPHICS?

5) The Animal Crossing and Zelda stuff were questionable as well, even though I liked what I've seen with Zelda.

6) FE:F, SMTxFE, XCX and YWW we already knew a huge ton of stuff about. Same with Mario Maker.

7) Of course there is the lack of big titles and announcements such as Metroid and Mario. And to be honest, that Metroid Prime spin-off is a disgrace.

Don't downplay Mario & Luigi RPGs: they are some of the finest 2nd party Nintendo games ever made. Plus, having 2 on the same system is why we got Bowser's Inside Story, aka one of the best non-traditional RPGs of all time.

Star Fox looks legitimately impressive, so I was excited for that.

Don't worry about Mario Tennis in terms of Golden Sun; just because that was at E3 doesn't mean we aren't getting a GS. I think we all agreed beforehand that if GS was gonna show up, it would be next year at the earliest.

I don't care about Skylanders.

I'm sad that they didn't show any new Fates info. that was disappointing, but the release range and confirmed localization was nice to have. I'm going to play SMT x FE, but they aren't doing anything to win other non-believers over XD.

Seriously why I every ****ing thread I pop in about Federation Force?
Have you ever played Prime? It's nbd if you haven't, but to many people (including myself), Prime 1 was the finest Metroid game ever created, and debatably one of the greatest games of all time. Prime 3 was right there next to Super Metroid in 2nd place, and the others followed suit. Other M was the last main series game we got, and while I don't hate it as much as some people do, it wasn't a worthy successor to the Prime series. To see this game, which is an obvious Star Fox Adventures scenario (it was probably another, completely separate game that got the franchise name to boost sales) use the Metroid Prime name felt to many people legitimately insulting. And, of course, the nail in the coffin was the fact that, no, we aren't getting a real Metroid any time soon.

So we got a Zelda spinoff, TWO Animal Crossing spinoffs and TWO Metroid spinoffs. No Pokemon, no 3D Mario, no Zelda main series, no Metroid, no F-Zero, the list goes on. They showed other great games, some that were not even in the presentation, but the lack of main series Nintendo IPs and at the same time the introduction of so many spinoffs is what killed the entire thing for me, as well as many others.

Sorry for the rant. Back to Isaac.

My Golden Sun OST: Remastered is coming along very nicely; it should be finished by the end of the month!

I played Metroid Prime 1 and 3, but never finished them. I did finish Metroid Other M though. I think I must be some sort of criminal now?

Haha, no it's not a big deal. Honestly I had a lot of fun with M, and I realize that not every game is made for everyone. It's not crime to not like/not care about Prime, I'm just saying that a legion of people DO care, and care an extremely high amount. That's why you're seeing it everywhere :ohwell: .

EDIT: It's not a crime to not like Prime. Sounds like some group's rallying call lol.

My favorite track from the series is Golden Sun Rises, but I think that a NEW battle medley should be added. I'm thinking that, because we already have a Felix/Doom Dragon battle medley, we need and Isaac/Saturos/Fusion Dragon medley. Then also a Jenna/Moapa medley.

Also the Sand Prince/Ice Queen/Mountain Roc battle theme remixed or as original. OMG it's so beautiful

I have, actually, played Metroid Prime. I've played Prime 2, and Prime 3. What's more, I actually played, and enjoyed, both Prime Hunters and Prime Pinball. Le Gasp! You mean there were other games in the series that weren't part of the mainline story?!

Yes, there were. And they were fun. no one complained about Pinball, despite it being FAR further from the rest of the series than Federation Force, which seems to be based off of Hunters in terms of design and gameplay focus.

I'm actually looking forward to a co-op shooter for the 3DS. What's more, I'm looking forward to Metroid Prime 4. The sequel to 3 that the series producer said he was interested in making? The one which would follow up the story of Sylux and Samus? Oh, and follow up the expanded role of the Space Marines in the lore that is coming from Federation Force.

But you "real fans" (who apparently haven't played half of the games in the series) would rather torch the game before giving it a chance, and endanger the entire future of the franchise in doing so.

Sorry for the rant. Back to Isaac.

So one of the games that's out EVERYWHERE ELSE on Virtual Console is finally rated by ESRB: Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones! YES! Please Nintendo bring Golden Sun 2 as well!

I did have a new thought about NX. It does appear its a home console now considering Tanabe's statements about a new Metroid would have to be made for that console. So my thought is: Camelot may not have wanted to make a new Golden Sun game for the end of the 3DS/Wii U life cycle and instead desired to have it at the start of a generation, like the original GS1/2. So instead they tried their hand at making an HD Mario Tennis game while planning for a new GS later... hopefully...

The worry about Mario Tennis is that it would delay GS. Many didn't expect GS this year, but the problem is we didn't expect ANYTHING from GS this year.

Our "dislike" of the game is not based on its existence. Please see this here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Metroid_media
Tl;DR:
The gap between Prime 2 and Prime 3 was 2 years, with Prime Pinball and Hunters during that period. 2 YEARS. I love a good spinoff game (Hunters was my second DS game); I'm sure I would even enjoy Federation Force. However, the time since the last UNIVERSAlLY HAILED Metroid game (Prime 3) has been OVER 8 YEARS. If you count Other M, it's been 5, but many do not. If Federation Force and Prime Hunters had swapped releases, everyone would be angry at Hunters, even though everyone likes it as a game (including us).

This E3 was dedicated to games we'd be seeing in 2015 and 16. So the lack of OG/Prime Metroid is... disturbing. There is still time left at E3, and if the game is announced or soft-announced, that will appease many fans, but that would also be very unusual.

If you still disagree, and by all means it is your right to do so, but please do not misinterpret my reasoning or use a straw man.
And as a matter of fact I have played every single Metroid game. I did not realize that that was part of the discussion, however  .

EDIT: Imagine that, after the 8 year long wait for Golden Sun DD, we got a Golden Sun trading card game on the eShop? I can't speak for anyone else, but I absolutely would perfer DD over that.

I couldn't see GS as a console game. I would still love it, granted, but it belongs on a handheld.
EDIT: IDK a console GS might actually be pretty fun!

One major rumor is that NX is both a console and handheld in one. I doubt its all-in-one, but it might be two different things that can come together.

I think Nintendo won E3 due to it having the most entertaining conference. It may not have the exact games we wanted, but it was fun and I personally enjoyed the games they showed (well, some like Mario Tennis and Yokai Watch I didn't care about).

That... would be pretty amazing, actually. I would be so hype for that.

It was pretty entertaining. Certainly the most "fun" presentation out of all of them.
Rest in peace Golden Sun... you don't have a future any time soon. :crying:
Nah. I honestly think that GS is gonna come back. Speak with your smash ballot vote; if he is 3rd, 4th or even just in the top 10, that shows Nintendo that [Isaac] is still loved. Need I remind you:

"Perhaps if there are enough Nintendo users asking for another game in the Golden Sun series, then this will naturally lead to the development of such a game."

Eh I don't really feel like being entertaining can or should "win" you E3. At the end of the day it's about the games, no matter how many puppet scenes you throw at us.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed those sections, they were cute. I just wouldn't consider them relevant to whether the presentation was good or not.

There are plenty of ways I can entertain myself, but only Nintendo can provide Nintendo games.

I hope Mario Tennis Ultra Smash means that Camelot has a bigger team now, which could open new possibilities for Golden Sun 4.
I'm secretly hoping Camelot decides to add GS characters to the game lol, even though I know its extremely unlikely to happen. I mean, they've had non-Mario characters in their Mario games before, but they've always been original characters. Plus they stopped doing that in more recent installments. We'd be more likely to get K. Rool in it than GS characters.

So.
Sorry to continue on the general trend of "Bash on Dark Dawn."
But is it just me or is Dark Dawn a LOT heavier on the dialogue? I'm only at the point of getting the Sol Mask but god I feel like things have gotten so bogged down.

I wouldn't mind if Camelot put Isaac in Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. Now that I think of it, both Mario Tennis and Super Smash, well... have Smash in their titles. Camelot worked on both. Isaac for Smash confirmed. And for Mario Tennis Ultra Smash too. Might as well as add him to MK8. I would love all of that. Fight as Isaac, play tennis as Isaac and win races as Isaac.

Am I going to far?

As long as you don't let it substitute Isaac being in Smash 4.

Well if he's in Smash, we get an Isaac amiibo. Using that in MK8 would probably give a Isaac Mii costume or something.

You know what would be cool? - if Isaac and Wolf were announced together.

It could be like "Wolf lets out a howl!" and then shortly after "Isaac also lets out a howl!"

"Wolf lets out a howl!"
"Isaac lets out a howl!"
"King K. Rool lets out a laugh!"

*Wolf and Isaac stare blankly at King K Rool*

I said it before but if the three of them came together I think a lot of Smash Bros fans would wet their pants and then empty their wallets.
