Well, there was this "Digital Event" leak that one of the Kutthroats mentioned:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/101808031882874318912/posts/fhyqGGJraya

Its obviously fake, especially since it doesn't have ANY Smash DLC characters at all (except announcing Lucas's release date). It does mention GS4 for 3DS and a 2016 release, though. Nice that a fake leak actually put that in there. Probably related to how much attention K. Rool and Isaac are getting lately (a third climber game for 3DS is also mentioned with K. Rool as the antagonist).

I wasn't going to bring it up, but 'eh, its a fake leak to talk about that mentions GS.

EDIT: I can't ever see that subtitle used for a Golden Sun game, either.
Yeah, that title doesn't really work.

That's a kind of recurring trait to that leak. It has some reasonable ideas, then pairs them with something that just isn't going to happen.

Like Mario Kart 8 DLC with only Battle Arena tracks. No chance in heck.

Both sound like possibilities to me. Just because no character reveal is shown doesn't mean it's fake.
It referring to the Mii Fighter as "Boxer" (edit: The japanese name for it is transcribed to mean "Hand-to-Hand Fighting Type" and since Boxing is not close to popular in Japan, you think any translation error would come up as martial artist or soemthing), the lack of a big reveal at E3 for Smash in terms of DLC, nothing for FE:14 or SMT x FE is a bit weird, subtitle for Starfox U is "Supercharged", Golden Sun subtitle which seems bizzare to the tradition of the others, and Bayonetta 2 trophy dlc pack for Smash are all little weird things in the listing.

Edit: Also, Pokken Fighters which has just been given a tenative "Summer 2015" announcement for Japanese Arcade machines being flipped over into full WiiU release by "early 2016" seems a little sudden. But that's just me

So I'v been thinking about a new Golden Sun game, and it makes sense that we get atleast one new entry into the series for the 3DS. Infact, I think that if not revealed this year, we WILL get a Golden Sun game sometime before the end of the 3DS lifespan

Actually, yeah, its flat-out confirmed SMT X FE is going to be at E3.

That said, I'd not be shocked if FE If is absent at E3, because it just got tons of info for Japan, and its launching in Japan this month. We're not learning that much info about the game in the west yet, and its not launching until 2016. I think its highly likely FE If WON'T be in the Digital Event.

The Digital Event leak is clearly fake. Star Fox: Supercharged doesn't make sense as a title name. Considering what we have already: Adventures, Assault, Command. The subtitle will probably in line with these. Dual Gamepad??? Only one gamepad can be assigned to your Wii U and that's the one you get with it. Plus that's a lot of money on some idea that doesn't seem to be that good. Who really wants 2 of those things. Golden Sun: Secrets of the Ancient Temple has a subtitle that makes no sense considering the rest of the subtitles in the series. I mean c'mon. OG GS, GS The Lost Age , GS Dark Dawn, GS Secrets of the Ancient Temple. That really fits in well (sarcasm). I believe its too early for the AC team to have anything but an idea or trailer for a new AC on Wii U. Also isn't this totally destroying what Animal Crossing is about, living in a town/city with your animal neighbors. Personally MK8 should not have Pikachu and Inkling. I want my Mario characters first. Give meh Petey and King Boo. Also why Pianta and no Bowser Jr. LEADER OF KOOPA KIDS? Mii boxer problem already stated above. Why would Smash get DLC packs for Bayonetta 2, Stretchmo, and Fossil Fighters. Doesn't make sense in my mind. A Wii Sports game, coming out next year. Why? Its called Holiday Island. Holidays like Christmas (arguably the biggest one) and its coming out next year? I don't see there being an Excite Truck game.

Edit- there is no SMTxFE

At first, I thought: "Not another sword user..."

But then I read the OP:
How Would He Play?

In the Golden Sun series, Isaac uses multiple ways to attack, whether it be with weapons (usually a sword), psynergy attack (usually earth magic), djinn, or summons, which are huge and powerful attacks that can only be used when djinn that have previously been activated in the battle are in standby mode.
MAGIC AND SUMMONS! YAY! :yeahboi:

I thought you were a supporter already. Maybe its cuz I see you a lot on K Rools thread.
Nope. Shantae and K. Rool are the only characters I support. That said, I won't cuss if Isaac is added. That puts him in the same category as Daisy: not desired, but an alright addition.

That Digital Event leak is totally fake, however, I would love that both the Golden Sun 4 and Pikachu as DLC for MK8 were true (although I still don't have a Wii U, but I'm planning on getting one this summer with Sm4sh).

Also, the leaker could at least try to make it a little bit more legit, by adding Wolf, Ryu, Roy and Isaac as Smash DLC (I included Isaac 'cause it would go along with GS4 announcment), as well as adding SMT x FE.

Hey.
If there's one thing you guys know about me.
It's that my main supported characters are pretty out in the open.

Edit: the joke of this post is invalidated because your signature only pops up in your first post for a page

Still better than Secrets of the Ancient Temple.
Yeah lol it sounds like a bad Jackie Chan movie.

So that brings us to...

Brainstorm GS4 titles go! I'll start:
-Golden Sun: Shadows of Sol
-Golden Sun: the Wicked and the Wise
-Golden Sun: we're sorry you didn't like dark dawn, we tried our best okay?!

I was just thinking about this, but if Ryu gets into Sm4sh and sf5 DOESN'T come to Wii U, how mad would anyone be? Would Nintendo even allow Ryu to be in smash if this happened? As of now there is confirmed no Wii U version right?

1) No WiiU version said. As we know, it's sony exclusive.
2) Metal Gear did so much on Nintendo after Brawl, right?

If Nintendo is fine with including Ryu yet not getting SFV what business do the fans have getting mad over it?

The same business fans have getting mad over everything else.

This is implying they're fine with it. It's just me, but Nintendo, well known for how they treat their 1st party IPs, doesn't seem like the kind of company that would do this.

Thats like saying that Banjo has a chance just because Mr. Spencer said he was fine with it.

we got MGS3D and that's about it. Note Konami's bull****tery and the sad fact that we wil most likely never get Snake/Big Baws in Sm4sh

Because Nintendo fans tend to act like jealous middle schoolers who get mad that their crush shows some attention to someone else occasionally.

Edit: I was on the Golden Sun wiki and, under the 'Isaac' entry, I saw this:
Japanese name ロビン Robin
French name Vlad
Spanish name Hans
What the actual ****? Those names are so far apart; it is worse than Rosalina/Rozetta/Rosalinda/Estela/Harmonie! :rosalina: (Ok, 'Harmonie' is out there too...)

Looks like Dracula might be playable after all.
:troll:
So by getting Isaac in-game, people get Shovel Knight (Judgment) and a Castlevania character. We should be able to pull in more of the other Support groups with that info...

It's possible they might play FE if during the Treehouse segment though. I'm not sure if they'll have it in English though, but then that didn't stop them playing Xenoblade Chronicles X last year.

That looks awesome! Probably the best render I've seen of him yet.

Also, apparently Smashified is holding a vote on Twitter for who the nest character should be. Maybe we should all pitch in?

At this point after seeing that Isaac folder it feels more like they're holding Isaac hostage than anything else.

Man, you guys have been having fun while I was busy these days, haven't you!? XD

I've been working on this post and moveset pretty much all afternoon and evening. I hope everyone likes it.

My opinion on the hand Psynergy is that it's too obvious of a choice for grabs and throws and that, were it to be used for specials, it would be a waste of a slot that some other Psynergy should more rightfully occupy. I do like how it's implemented in Super Smash Flash 2, but it still wastes a special move slot... unless there are somehow more fitting choices for a grab and throws.

I know I've posted my moveset ideas before, but I keep going over it and trying to improve it, so... here I am posting it again. This moveset is the best I've thought of by far, and it incorporates both moves that Isaac demonstrated and ones that he conceivably could use, were he present at the right places and times in Lost Age and Dark Dawn.

Without further ado....

Final Smash: Judgment. Flint and three other Djinn are used for this, after which Flint is put into recovery, with consequences to Isaac – the same as when the level 1 Venus summon is used (see below). The four Djinn circle quickly about Isaac a few times before shooting up into the sky. Anyone caught inside the circle will receive maximal damage and knockback from Judgment, usually KO-ing them. Isaac escapes from the scene via Retreat as Judgment fires down onto the stage. The aforementioned circle is the width of the shot, and when the shot explodes, a shockwave emanates outward, causing high damage and knockback, but not necessarily at "KO-strength" in most circumstances. The shockwave can be dodged without too much difficulty. Isaac then uses Retreat to return to the same location on the stage that he left from.

Grab: Catch. Range is up to two character-widths in front of Isaac. The hand picks the opponent up off the ground ever so slightly and brings it to Isaac, where a second hand -- necessary for pummel and throws, awaits.

Pummel: Slap. The hand that was waiting slaps the enemy while the Catch hand holds it. None of the other hand moves that I can think of are suitable for a stationary beating. Isaac can use Slap if he's wearing the Slap Gloves; I think we shouldn't limit our selections to just moves that Isaac did/could use pre-DD; anything that's game for Isaac in the universe of Golden Sun should be game here.

UThrow: Lift. A quicker version than in GS, it flings the enemy into the air, letting them go once the hands are fully above Isaac's head height.

DThrow: Pound. Pounds the enemy into the ground in front of Isaac. This may cause a techable bounce or burial.

FThrow: Force. One hand, as a fist, hits the enemy and violently propels it away from Isaac.

BThrow: Carry. Behaves similarly to Lift, but moves horizontally and releases the enemy once the hands clear Isaac's character model behind him.

USpec: Megiddo. With the Final Smash slot unavailable and with this move's unsuitability for a normal Smash, I can see it fitting best as a unique recovery. Isaac leaps several Isaac-heights into the air (only vertically, no horizontal movement), his blade visibly heating up, hangs (not literally) for a split second, and slashes a meteor of his size downward at about a 35-40-degree angle from the vertical. The meteor deals a large amount of damage and knockback, and anyone directly hit by Isaac's slash gets spiked in the same direction, with the meteor animation canceled. During and after this move, Isaac is very vulnerable, balancing its power.

DSpec: Flint/Summon Level 1. With Flint, Isaac jumps forward and performs a Djinni-enhanced downward sword slash. After using Flint, Isaac suffers greater knockback until the Djinni is reset. The reset either happens by pressing the button again or by waiting 10 seconds after the summon is performed, which is done by holding the button for a bit. The summon looks the same as in GS, and does a "slow-rise" effect like Gaia, but it makes Isaac's attack Psynergy slightly more powerful until Flint is reset.

SSpec: Grip. A Psynergy hand grabs the enemy up to several character-lengths away and Isaac is flung at them. The hand dematerializes once Isaac reaches his opponent, but while Isaac is still in the air. In the window between the move ending and Isaac touching down, if A is pressed, he will slash his enemy. The momentum gained by the move will carry into the slash, causing either high knockback or good damage. For balance, this move has a good amount of start-up time. In the air, this move is faster and can be used to grab the ledge and pull Isaac to it, though the angle it is useful within is not very wide.

NSpec: Ragnarok/Odyssey. Tapping the button produces Ragnarok, and holding it activates Odyssey. Ragnarok is fast and has decent damage and knockback. It can also spike diagonally downward with the tip of the sword at the tip's final location, but this only works when the tip of the blade is exposed at that point in the attack -- this only happens when the attack terminates in the air (i.e. Isaac is in the air or standing on a ledge). During the giant sword animation, Isaac makes a diagonally downward slashing motion, but while stationary. Said slash will cause damage, making Ragnarok a decently safe move. Odyssey is slow and has no spiking behavior, but it can trap enemies and deals a huge amount of damage and knockback. When the button is held, a small sword pierces the enemy in front of Isaac. If it misses, the rest of the attack cancels. If it hits, the second piercing sword arrives and is guaranteed to hit. With these two swords holding the enemy in place, Isaac smashes a giant spectral sword into the enemy at the same time as he steps forward and slashes the enemy. Odyssey has a longer range than Ragnarok, but it's far easier for it to miss and leaves Isaac very open to attack. He has super armor until the first small sword hits, but he can be hit out of the move any time after that, making Odyssey possibly unwise to use in team battles or free-for-alls.

USmash: Quake. Has the lowest damage and second highest knockback of Isaac's smashes, and functions primarily to hit enemies into the air. With Isaac at the epicenter, columns of earth thrust upward on either side of him. The columns adjacent to Isaac function like the first hitbox of Sheik's USmash, while the others (probably two others on either side) cause much less damage and knockback. The column furthest out on either side has a chance to trip the enemy.

DSmash: Gaia. The earth opens beneath the enemy's feet. The gravitational force pulling them down is slightly overpowered by the rocks flying upward at them, resulting in slow rise rather than normal knockback.

FSmash: Annihilation. As in GS, this is an extremely potent attack. If conditions guarantee the enemy's KO, the kanji will read "kill" – otherwise, the kanji will read "ruin/destroy". Has the highest knockback of Isaac's smashes.

Get-up Attack: Sol Blade's Purgatory (Dark Dawn). Isaac lies (literally) at the center of the attack, though only enemies next to him are hit.

Dash Attack: Sol Blade's Radiant Fire (Dark Dawn). Pretty cut-and-dried, but flashy.

Standard attack: A slash of the Sol Blade. Nothing particularly interesting, though possibly deceptive, especially when your opponent doesn't know Isaac's not "just another swordsman".

Combo attack: Sol Blade's Centurion (Dark Dawn). Ironically, this is like Melee Link's combo attack, which is no longer present.

UTilt: Punji. Bamboo stalks erupt from the ground in front of Isaac, causing vertical knockback.

FTilt: Thorn. A large, thorny plant erupts from the ground, jutting up and to the side. High knockback.

DTilt: Growth. Thorny vines appear right in front of Isaac and tear into his enemies. Has low knockback.

NAir: Oil Drop. A wall of flame moves from in front of Isaac to behind him.

UAir: Gunpowder Bomb. Produces a small explosion if it hits anyone either on the way up or as it descends. Functions like Link's bombs.

FAir: Weasel's Claw. A low-knockback move that harasses enemies in front of Isaac.

BAir: Crystal Powder. A large ball of ice falls diagonally downward from above Isaac's head, crashing into whomever is directly behind him. Has similar knockback to Ganondorf's BAir.

DAir: Spire. Isaac materializes a spire beneath his feet and hops off of it, causing it to fall. This move will spike. It can also only be used once before Isaac lands on a platform. Second jump status is preserved from before the move.

Shield: Psynergy shell, what else?

Spot Dodge: Cloak. Isaac's model disappears and the edges are replaced with a dashed outline.

Air Dodge: Cloak. Functions the same as Spot Dodge.

FRoll: Sand. Isaac becomes sand and quickly burrows forward before reconstituting himself.

BRoll: Sand. Functions the same as FRoll.

Ledge attack: Tremor. Isaac shakes the ground and trips his enemy while rolling onto the platform. Does no damage.

UTaunt: Isaac does the GS "item get" animation with the Mars Star, then tucks it into his pouch/clothing.

STaunt: Isaac appears to have had his Venus Psynergy powered up by a summon, standing with arms raised and sword in hand, with yellow light coming up from the ground beneath him and surrounding him. (This has no effect on his attack strength.)

DTaunt: Isaac faces the screen and a smiling emoji appears above his head.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, the main problem I see is that this moveset might make him extremely over-powered. I initially had him using four Venus Djinn, but I ran into the problem of there not being enough good and suitable Venus Djinni effects. Plus, that would just add to the already huge amount of variation in the rest of his moveset, making him less feasible to implement and far more difficult to fight.

I'm not very satisfied with Spire, to be honest. If it can be used for recovery, I'd prefer it to be DSpec, which I originally had it as. However, all I need to do, really, is remove the recovery aspect and it will look more like Megaman's DAir. But... if you could materialize a platform beneath you, why wouldn't you use it for recovery? *sigh*

With all that said, I think what I've concocted here would be Sakurai's worst nightmare to implement, so if we get Isaac, he won't be anywhere near on the level I've (hopefully) placed him at with this monstrously varied and complicated moveset.

Two of Isaac's specials and an aerial are recovery moves in my moveset, though their properties could, of course, be tweaked. Megiddo takes him straight up. Grip takes him mostly sideways, but potentially a bit up or down, too. And Spire can be used to move closer to the stage horizontally, making the previous two moves more feasible. It just might be a bit too much in the recovery department.

Well, whatever. Long post is long. Hope you liked it.
It's fascinating how you used a lot of the same ideas I did for the moveset I have on my site, but yet you managed to give them a totally different spin! Awesome, just proves how versatile Isaac is as a character!
I liked your Spire DAir actually, very creative use of the move! :b:
I had Move as a Neutral B that could pull enemies away, and block projectiles at the same time, but what if Move could be used to grab items at a distance too? :ohwell:

IGN confirmed this with Nintendo - check here

Golden Sun: Mourning Moon
Total Eclipse
Umbra Ultimatum
Hah, I said Mourning Moon first a few pages back! :awesome:

Regarding the other stuff you have all been talking about, let me share what I know:

Camelot and GS4

The last DLC pack for Mario Golf: World Tour released on June 19, 2014 so, at most, we can assume they began work on a new Golden Sun about a year ago, if they did...
That being the case, like I said before, don't expect the game to be announced until next year!
It would even make more sense then, since the original game will be 15 years old! Perfect time for a new game to be announced and celebrate the series, right?

Fire Emblem If and Amiibo

I think we aren't getting any new Amiibo for Fire Emblem If.
The Fire Emblem Cypher cards that add DLC to the game have a "Special Code" you can input into the game to unlock characters, like the Miverva card. It has nothing to do with NFC!
I would expect them to release a few other cards like these in the upcoming expansions of the TCG, later in the year.
Speaking of Amiibos, did you guys see this on Reddit already?
It seems like this indicates we might be getting a Pokémon Amiibo Card collection if it's true, in a near future...

Little Battlers eXperience and Super Robot Wars BX

Little Battlers eXperience is a cross media franchise by Level-5 similar to Custom Robo and already has a few other games under it's belt.
They just decided to localize the 3DS game that is already out in Japan for the West, that's all.
Meanwhile, Super Robot Wars is an older franchise published by Bandai Namco that is getting a new game (BX) in Japan on August 20. They haven't announced a localization and I doubt they will, however it's still early for that considering the release date.
The franchises have nothing to do with each other, so stop mixing both!
By the way, wouldn't you like to see Nintendo make a similar cross media franchise out of Custom Robo? It could revive the series a little bit! If things were successful they could even invite Level-5 for a crossover game at some point!?

Intelligent Systems Teams and Paper Mario Wii U

Like I have said before, since the earlier days of the studio, they have an habit of having 3 to 4 teams working on different projects at the same time. Also, since Summer last year, the studio has been getting a few more employees due to their recent success with Awakening.
The teams nowadays include Team Emblem, that mostly works on the Fire Emblem series, a team dedicated to Paper Mario, that could indeed be working on a new Wii U game (Sticker Star released December 2012, it's plenty of time...), another team that worked on Code Name S.T.E.A.M. for the past months and a smaller team that is probably helping Atlus with Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.
That said, you can probably expect a new Paper Mario, considering the rumours and all, but I wouldn't expect a new Advance Wars or Panel de Pon, for example.
Then again, I don't work there! :awesome:

Kyoto Software Development Group No. 2, Splatoon and Animal Crossing

While many of you are worried that Splatoon might hinder the group in making a new Animal Crossing you are forgetting the following:
- The group has worked on two or more projects at the same time before;
- The Animal Crossing team, in current years, has been handled by Katsuya Eguchi, Aya Kyogoku, Isao Moro, Manaka Kataoka and Atsuko Asahi;
- The Splatoon team is currently handled by Hisashi Nogami, Yusuke Amano, Tsubasa Sakaguchi, Toru Minegishi and Shiho Fujii;
That said, Nogami and Kyogoku are both working on Happy Home Designer.
This is all just to say that because part of the team is working on Splatoon, it doesn't mean they aren't working on a new Animal Crossing game.
Most things so far seem to indicate there is another game in development besides Happy Home Designer, we just don't know if it will be announced at this year's E3...
I personally think there is a good chance they will announce it and the game will release next year, pretty much what they did with City Folk! :estatic:

Metroid at E3

Regarding this I think we are getting a Metroid Prime 4 made by Retro Studios, sooner or later.
After they finished Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, the studio went on a hiring spree and they weren't just looking for your run-of-the-mill employees... these guys were looking for people that had worked on AAA titles before.
Namely, a gameplay engineer, an AI engineer, some tools engineers and an artist. They had also hired a new group of concept artists, technical artists and UI designers, by that time!
That being said, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that this new project is a new Metroid game and that we might get at least a small sneak peek at it during E3... however, keep in mind it could also be a AAA title from a whole new IP or different IP. I just feel like Metroid is the most likely right now, specially after Miyamoto said they wanted Retro to make a new one.

And that's all I have to say for now, hope I helped clarify some things!

Thats like saying that Banjo has a chance just because Mr. Spencer said he was fine with it.
But that's true. Not to say Banjo has a big chance, but without the deluge of demand that arose from that comment, Banjo would have basically no chance. Now he at least has one, small as it might be.

Looks like an awesome pose for him. And Isaac has purple eyes? (Did not notice that until now.)
This is awesome and I love it, but aren't Isaac's eyes supposed to be blue?
Chalk it up to artistic liberties...

Man, you guys have been having fun while I was busy these days, haven't you!? XD

Prime 4 at e3? Dammit I hadn't even considered that; dont get my hopes up :D

(Would be a suitable replacement for gs4, but like you and I said, don't expect that b4 2016)

But that's true. Not to say Banjo has a big chance, but without the deluge of demand that arose from that comment, Banjo would have basically no chance. Now he at least has one, small as it might be.

Any chance is a chance, no matter how small it is. We got Snake last gen, after all. And if Banjo in smash somehow lead to a B/K on Nintendo consoles (as INCREDIBLY UNLIKELY as that is) would make a ****ton of people happy, even if it was just and HD B/K or B/T port.

Hello everyone. Been a while. I'm sorry. I still live and my support for Isaac is as unwaveringly strong as ever. Isaac4Smash4evah (at least until Isaac gets into Smash, in that case, I've already got a victory post and celebration ready to go, by the way)

How is everyone?

For E3?

Well, I'm a pessimist. So it's probably going to Roy and Ryu (Meh and Ick respectively). Sigh.

Anyone here play Splatoon?
