I just noticed that Golden Sun was the only franchise in Brawl which had a track without having a playable character.
I guess that means Golden Sun was considered more important than other franchises which only had a AT in Brawl.
I just hope Sakurai thinks that Golden Sun is still important and included Isaac in Smash4.

Looking at it that way, Isaac almost made it in since Golden Sun had a track in the game. I hope that almost now translates into 100% inclusion!

No one, just pointing out that Golden Sun is not the only one with music but no character (although it may be the only one with music and an Assist Trophy, I haven't checked).

But if you want a piece with playable character potential:

Lip's Theme. Panel-de-Pon. Already has an item in Smash Bros., and a fairly extensive character support thread.

Has his own track and is an unlockable assist trophy, I use to believe that Shadow being an unlockable AT negates Isaac's chances in terms of unlockable AT's but Shadow is a special case since Sonic is a third party character, as for advance wars, well i'm not to sure on that one =/... It seems that Nintendo seem to have interest on the hand held consoles seeing as there was a Nintendo game boy in it. Another thing is Isaac is not only unique but also has a massive variety of moves he could use, I have not thought of one character that could have a higher move pool than him other than MegaMan. Isaac may be the first GBA character that isn't a clone like Lucas and Golden sun definitely sold more than Mother 3! I don't really know about ZSS since she was only playable for minutes, Isaac has been in all 3 golden sun games which could also be helpful and seeing that golden sun was released a year before Sakurai decided the full roster, maybe he could be included, or a possible Mathew?

Although with all that said, Sakurai has chosen to ignore Golden Sun twice and Dark Dawn Sold a very little amount of units, even though Isaac is unique and doesn't need swords, Sakurai may see him as another sword character and Golden Sun has been forgotten, abandoned and ruined =/...

Yeah you can not be sure about Isaacs inclusion and there has not been any hints at him and there are not much newcomers left. But i believe he has still a good chance to get in. He was a much requested character in Brawl and appeared as AT. I am pretty sure that Sakurai considered Isaac and that we have a solid chance that Sakurai made the right decision.

Gematsu was more plausible than this, with the whole WFT thing. However, I refuse to believe that Shulk would be a recolor of Little Mac or a lot of other things wrong with it.

I want to believe too, brother.
I don't want to accept Sakurai overlooking Isaac for the second time, the first I already felt kind of... ignored/mocked at. If a few "Clones Mc. Cloneyston" makes it into smash, and Isaac doesn't, I'm getting very sad.
I don't mean to offend the supporters of said characters (and my apologies if I do so) but... I'm just annoyed.

Another thing I really didn't like about Dark Dawn: The smiley face decision system. It was so hard to tell how your response would be interpreted in most of those. Karis asks you what you think about Tyrell being an idiot. if you get mad, you're apparently yelling at Karis, not Tyrell. Tyrell says he thinks King Wo is a psychotic jerk. But if you pick the "happy" faces, you're apparently agreeing with King Wo, not Tyrell.

The Yes/No was so much simpler.

I bought it on Monday. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play it much. I have been replaying Dark Dawn, though. Anyone have any interesting classes I should try for people not named Matthew?

Of course I'm not too familiar with the development of Brawl, I just about a few characters confirmed for the game and then bought the game and played it.

Surely when Sakurai looked at Isaac's Assist Trophy he had to have been thinking hey this is that Golden Sun guy everybody wanted since Melee.

Maybe he'll reveal Isaac with Ridley and Mewtwo considering they would have a title, the three most wanted since Melee.

I think the appeal of this set up is that I didn't have to have any Djinn on standby in order for the classes to work (which would cause problems when summoning).

My 1st set (the one I remember normally using) was pretty reliable IIRC - Gladiator Sveta deals absurd amounts of damage in her Beast form AND you've got Chaos Lord Matthew churning out Megiddo's from his Sol Blade also causing major damage. You also have Ronin Tyrell and Wizard Karis to boost everyones attack very, very quickly. Once that's done, Tyrell can either boost defence or provide attack support whilst Karis spams Wish Well/Pure Wish to keep everyone healed



Very briefly on the subject of this leak - very sad to see Isaac not mentioned anywhere in it. Let's hope it's wrong about that...I really want to see Isaac in his game. The Djinn mechanic would make for a very unique character in Smash Bros...

Time is ticking down though until the Japanese release-- I hope we hear something soon. Or hopefully we hear something ASAP when Japanese players get their hands on copies of the game....

Definitely won't, and if he doesn't make it to Smash4, I'll support him as DLC.
And if he doesn't make it/there is no DLC, I'll support him for the next smash.

And repeat the trend over and over... until he gets in, that is.

Saying how much we want him in online forums and buying his games are the two only ways that his chances can increase, and I never intended to stop doing such things in the first place

If Matthew gets in, I will be happy with that because it will show that Sakurai does in fact care for the series (because he is putting a GS Rep in) and Matthew is more recent too. Heck, it might even help Dark Dawn sales and definitely promote GS4. Obviously, we all want Isaac, but if Matthew gets in instead, I'll support him all the way and we all should too. His Dad would do the same and be proud of him. (Isaac and Felix Alt Costumes for Matthew confirmed. Haha!)

I think Isaac is for Golden Sun what Marth is for Fire Emblem - he's the "face" of the series, the first playable protagonist that contributed to bestow fame upon his franchise. So just like Lucina couldn't replace Marth, I think Matthew can't really replace Isaac. But I might be wrong.
