Is it possible to defend yourself from a tiger

I remember reading that if a tiger attacks you when you are unarmed you should:

A) Bite or scratch its nose because the tiger is sensitive in that area

OR

B) Shove your arm down its throat causing a gag reflex which should buy you some time to get away while the tiger is busy vomiting

Of course both these options are **** near impossible, considering it's a ****ing tiger, but at least you have a slight chance of survival.

Loud noises are a direct show of threat in the animal kingdom, and the fact that we stand on 2 legs and are actually taller than most animals in terms of vertical stature (they judge purely off that) makes you quite intimidating.

You're not going to outrun a tiger, you're not going to beat it in a clash of strength, so you might as well give it a primal scream and make yourself look as big as possible, which will give the impression that you're not scared and want a piece of tiger boy, and thus intimidates it or at least makes it think twice about a fight.

Thing is, a tiger will try to avoid a fight if it believes it could sustain an lingering injury that will slow it down, since it needs to be in peak physical form to be successful at hunting.

Or you could run up a tree and try throwing twigs at it.

Punch it on the nose, and yell "hey poachers, there's a nice big tiger that needs to be killed over here!" or if you're an animal lover, yell "What are you doing man?!?!?! I save you from hunters and this is how you repay me?!?!" If neither of those work and you're still alive, spit at it numerous times while making gorilla sounds . . . . . . . . .

The best way is probably to avoid confrontation in the first place, by the time you see or hear a tiger (assuming you're in the wild) you should have enough time to grab a random stick and use it as a weapon aimed at the face, but in order to avoid attack you should always face it, not run, and walk backwards in the desired direction while facing the beast.
