EV distributions, according to my basic knowledge, in in 3rd gen involve a lot more calculation because types were specifically based on moves so you'd have to carefully plan you defense EVs if you want a certain Pokemon to absorb a certain move. Kind of like a melee vs. brawl sort of deal.

I know this is in the wrong place n all, but I really don't see a Q&A thread on here.

Now, there's loads of things that I don't know about pokemon, but I'll just ask two semi-embarrassing questions and hope not to get flamed lol.

1. In movesets, I see things like 'HP Ice', or 'HP Fire' written, that kinda thing. What does it mean? o_0

2. If one of your Pokemon in your team has Pokerus, how do you transfer it to the rest of your team?

Basically, HP is short for hidden power so the type after them specifies which hidden power it is.

To transfer Pokerus, just battle anything with the Pokemon with Pokerus in your party somewhere. Make sure it says Pokerus and not just the little face, that means that it can't be spread by that Pokemon.
