Golden Icarus
Smash Lord
So, this is a concept that I’ve pretty much always wanted implemented into Smash. One of the coolest, yet most overlooked parts of Smash is all of the amazing music. And perhaps the most underrated, are the victory themes. Every series in Smash has it’s own unique victory theme. Usually a remix of a recognizable jingle from their respective series.
In Brawl, this was taking a step further. We had Meta Knight break that mold by being given a unique victory theme, separate from Kirby and King Dedede. And later, in Smash 3ds and Wii U, Rosalina and Dark Pit were given unique victories, while characters like Bowser had their theme changed to better fit the character.
Well what if they ran all the way with this idea? Giving every single character their own unique theme. Like what if Zelda had a rearrangement of Zelda’s lullaby, or what if Luigi had a Luigi’s Mansion inspired theme? Also shouldn’t Ganondorf have something a little bit more villainous? I think this would be a really simple, worthwhile way of making every character feel more distinguished.
And I know I’m not the only one who likes this idea. Here’s a link to a video on YouTube that uses this exact concept that I definitely recommend listening to:
