Ike would have a Lucario. They both seem like they would fight for their friends.
And they're both warriors.
Kirby would have a Jiggz.
Metaknight would have a Melee Jiggz.
Luigi would have a Psyduck.
Bowser would have a Blastoise.
Ness and Lucas would end up with the most powerful pokemon, Mewtwo.
Mr. Gn'W would have a Darkrai, which would tie with Ness and Lucas.
Snake would have an Arbok.
Sonic would have a Shaymin.
Crap, need I go on?
Last, but not least (for me), Ganon would have a Piloswine.

Given that, I'd say MK could either have Crobat... or I was actually leaning toward Skarmory. Both can fly, and Steel = Sword/Mask. Plus they're both freaking awesome.
