Budget Player Cadet_
Smash Hero
This is getting so ****ing frustrating, it's not even funny.
I have set up this thing so many times and it refuses to work.
A little back story.
First, I tried setting it up at one friend's house with normal bannerbomb. It worked without problems, so I tried using codes to edit the games. I first tried setting up the official PAL 4.1 build with absolutely no success; the same thing happened no matter what I did; the game ran with normal brawl, as if there were no codes. Crashed when I used snapshots. I tried all manner of codes; first brawl+, then BBrawl, then a self-made Brawl+ RSBP01.gct, then a self-made RSBP01.gct with nothing but no tripping and improved camera/replays. Same. Also, before you ask, gecko did recognize that there were codes and load the game with them.
I learned from the guys on German Smash Boards (dear god thank you for telling me this, I would've been trying forever) that it doesn't work if your Brawl is PAL and too new, because a certain edition got patched to not take codes.
So I go over to this other friend of mine who also is equally interested in brawl+. He got it on PAL release day. Did the same thing as with the other friend and got a very, very weird thing. Gecko read the codes, took them, and spit out some absolutely bizarre bull****. Hitstun massively cranked (like, no matter what the hit, it's a matter of almost 10 seconds), Hitlag also turned up to things that make squirtle's Dair seem like Donkey Punch, and ALR that I'm pretty sure was more than 50%. This happened with each codeset I tried to use, and yes, Gecko did accept them.
Does anyone have a clue what is wrong? I really want to get this working, and 'get the NTSC version and use a USB Loader' is a rather lousy solution for me because my internet connection is ****. So does anyone know what the hell is going on with my Wii?
