I know I made quite a few friends in the smash scene, but I gotta be honest about this game right now. I'm losing interest in this game and it's very likely that I will quit Brawl altogether and go to another fighting game. It's way too hard for me to go to tourneys and I suck major balls on Wifi (look at my AiB rank and record). Even if I did have the resources to go, there's way too many things in the game that turns me off way worse than the previous two (MK, tripping among other things). I don't know if it's a Wi-fi thing that's making me feel this way. Right now, I'm dropping anything related to competitive Smash on Wifi (Still debating to continue on with that other online tourney I signed up for). As for offline, I don't know, I still don't like what I'm seeing in tourneys as far as characters is concerned (This game is very broken IMO). There's a small chance that I will be interested in Brawl again, but for right now it's not looking good.

Go to a tournament occasionally, and then just play friendlies. It's what quite a few people do. You don't have to be competitive all the time. If you just enjoy playing the game, then do so. If you wanna go competitive in another game, do that. Just keep in mind, you don't have to abandon something all together.

@Shin: Never really had TOO much trouble with MK, in fact I actually defended him from getting banned when that poll happened. Tripping really puts me off way more than MK ever could, but like you said my main reasons was that it's to hard to get to tourneys and Wifi.

Yeah, I was thinking about SF4, BlazBlue and TvC (Maybe Tekken). Now, I'm not totally giving up Brawl, I'll still come for friendlies. I also MAY consider playing Brawl competitively again but never over Wifi and IF I find something which puts me in the mood for it again (Also If I end up being able to get to tourneys without a problem). But right now, other games appeal to me more than Brawl and getting to said tourneys are very impossible at the moment.

You base this off of the opinions of others, but if you look closely at the scene, it's more competitive than almost any other game. Look at the amount of tournaments. We do more on a weekly basis, than Korea does for Starcraft.
