I should note that I mainly use Link against corin so it's more theory right now. Link and Sheik do share a similar nair and Link's absolutely eats anything Corin has which makes approaches easy for a slow swordsman. With Sheik you have a lot more options and a much better combo game so get in get combo get out is much more viable on paper. Though now I do have to test this for myself.

Anything for the DK matchup? I watched Zero's interview after Mexico saga and he said that DK is really bad for Sheik. I think it's because he can hit you three or four times and then just fish for grabs because ding dong kills at like 60%. Any specifics for the mu?

you're faster and combo better. If you play safe and don't go for laggy approach options its very hard for DK to grab you. Also your needles can be very disruptive.

I would honestly play this one more like Greninja, keep moving and whatever you do don't stay within grab range for too long.

I hate to double post but it's been almost a month. So I had an idea. What if we did the actual MU discussions on the Sheik Discord and wrote up the summaries to be posted here on here after everything was finished. It's much faster to have discussions on Discord due to it's instant messaging nature, but it's also much easier to format/edit/find posts on Smashboards. We would be getting the best of both worlds. Thoughts?

From the Diddy JMU: (WIP, notes from the first 240 lines thus far)
Sheik barely wins the MU.
Sheik has a really easy time edgeguarding Diddy thanks to Needles off-stage. If we hit him out of barrels he dies and if we hit him out of Side B the takes damage and has to recover from further away. If Diddy tries to recover to the ledge with Side B we can just D-tilt or F-tilt.
Sheik is actually at a slight disadvantage in Neutral thanks to Diddy's fasterFair with more range as well as banana. Diddy with banana has a big advantage close up but at a disadvantage at a distance thanks to Needles. Diddy's Fair and Side B both beat out Sheik's Fair so it's not that useful in Neutral except when retreating. Diddy's Fair basically forces Sheik to stay grounded and block. If the Diddy does Fair safely Sheik's only chance of hitting him is with Needles. If you read the Fair you can Power Shield and maybe punish with approaching Nair OoS.
Sheik has better direct combos but once those end she has a hard time keeping an advantage. Opposite for Diddy.
Diddy has all the KO moves and kill confirms. D-tilt to Up Smash wills for him between 100 and 120-ish %. Sheik's best bet for kills is to get Diddy off-stage as soon as possible, meaning Diddy will probably try to take center stage.
