Somebody wallteched my tipman before in tournament in a last stock last game situation to determine who gets a payout. I barely won after he came back with a balls to the walls down b. Awesome game.

Anyways I had no idea you could wall tech tipman before that match and it blew my ****ing mind. Happened under such intense circumstances as well.

do you guys ever feel like you go a tournament prepared to improve on things and then end up leavung without having remembered what you did that was meant to improve that thing? i feel like i waste so much time at tournies sometimes.

also, i got some sick combos today that i'm gonna post later this week.

ALSO, i was CCing so much **** today, its godlike. also stopped shielding all the time after i threw out an aerial, so im slowly proving.

I only get sick combos when I play friendlies and nothing ever gets recorded. I do such stupid **** sometimes that never should have worked, just reaching like hell.

Yeah, that happens. Sometimes just knowing that you got more experience is nice, but it's a good idea to keep thinking about why you got hit and all that neutral game stuff.

so i ended up getting second at the tournament plup was at. took a game off his sheik again in winners finals and kept most of the matches pretty close. i feel like i'm slowly starting to understand the sheik matchup now. this is great progress. i also beat another sheik player named pi, used to main samus but is going the same route as plup now.

keeping momentum vs sheik is so difficult. i know it can be done though. it's not an impossible matchup anymore like i used to think it was. i can totally see myself winning by the end of the year.

I also won a $50 mm vs a pretty good falco player from the area. it was my first time ever playing a set longer than 3/5. he demanded that we play a ft5 and so we did. it was the most exhausting, intense, and exhilarating smash that i've ever played in my life. i won 5-4. adaptations left and right. what a ****ing nightmare.

i LOVE competing. it's such a rush.

Niiice. Just getting my face in there would be worthwhile. tm, Kage, and myself can be next to the Green Ganondorf. Lol it's gonna be a huge poster and probably a lot of money. I'm willing to chip in like $20 if we really need to. Maybe even more.

I'm highly considering it. I went for spring break and I spent maybe $100 per night minus hotel and food expenses. Vegas isn't that difficult to do on a budget really, casinos give you free alcohol and as long as you stick to the $10 tables, you'll be ok.

after recent events from this year, i've vowed to never ever drink or consume other substances during tournaments unless it's like some super silly chill event with close friends. never brings good fortune to me. playing with caffeine is ****ing impossible lol

Like the guy too much to let different versions of the game make me not play him. Plus there's like no green Ganons over in Europe so I would hope to give them a big surprise

1: I think fair has the same hitstun but vastly reduced knockback growth, so you like can't kill with it at higher percents, but that's when you use bair instead. Idk if it combos better, but I'd like to try PAL just to see if that's the case.
2: It deals 1% less damage and hase reduced knockback growth, probably meaning kills off the top with dair are harder at higher percents, but maybe it has more combo potential at mid-percents or something.
3: The other character nerfs just means that Ganon lives a little bit longer or the opponent has to use a different option to kill you. I don't think any nerfs are significant enough to make Ganon more viable. He's still bad even in PAL

i'll critique it sometime tomorrow before i start stream monstering.

so i spent about an hour and some odd minutes playing pal. did ganondorf vs falco, sheik, ganondorf, falcon, and fox. here are some of the basic footnotes that i gathered for anyone wondering about having to make the switch for some reason

fair is now vulnerable to crouch cancels. it can be crouch canceled by pretty much every character until about 50 percent or so. characters with long normals like sheik or samus can punish it with ease. after 50, it's an actual move again. not too terrible because getting to 50 doesn't take too much, but...still pretty rough x_x

down air no longer kills sheik between 98-100. with good survival di, it's closer to the 105-110 range on battlefield. adjust that range appropriately for each stage obviously.

one thing i didn't test out was smaller differences in things vs marth because of him being heavier. might try to check that out later.

I'd like to chip in as well.
I've been thinking about going to the Showdown at UVA on May 9th.
Probably the biggest tourney I've considered going to besides the weekly I usually go to.
One of these days I'm gonna try to make the trek to Xanadu.
Right now my goal is to go to Apex next year and with the new job I'm working I might try to go to other big tournaments this year if I can plan in advance.
