How to tail spike

i can do it some times, but not 100% because im not sure where the hitbox is. anyone care to enlighten me?

nevermind, its the top of the tail for front and back.

lol okay i lied i still cant find the hitbox for the tail spike behind you. anyone care to tell where?

and i made the thread because i cant find it, and its nowhere on here. your like pikachu guide actually says to hit on the bottom of the opponent to spike lol

well, like you said, top of tail and just in front or back works for me. and really the best advice I can give you is go into practice mode or play against a cpu and just use your tail. Eventually you will figure stuff out.

well i got that one, but there is one on the back itself. i've gotten it once, and kels was doing it to me 100% the other week.

4 general hitboxes. Each one comes out in a different time during the attack. The first ~fourth of the attack (timewise) hits them upwards, Second ~fourth hits them down and behind (commonly called reverse tailspike). Third ~fourth hits them down and forward (standard tailspike). Last ~fourth hits them slightly up and behind. So it's not so much where you hit them as when you hit them during the attack. The hitbox extends his entire tail-length, with more severe knockback occuring seemingly near the outer edge of his tail.
