How to release from grabs quickly?

Well my apologize for asking this kind of noob questions, but i can't help it i just started playing brawl a few weeks ago exactly. Everyone start from zero.

Well to the main question how to release from oponent's grab or how to release from DK and Bowser grab those ones really annoys me.

Yeah, this is basically what I do. I think it works for dk's grab (when he holds you up).

You need to press buttons repeatedly to try to break free. However, as your damage rises, it gets more difficult to break free from a grab. Additionally, the CPU won't hesitate to throw you before you even get a chance to act.

I spin the control stick around and mash the A button, which seems to work. I think the C-stick works just as well as the control stick though.

All you need to do is smash the control stick back and forth. Hitting buttons doesn't really do anything.

Hit as many buttons as you can. In all seriousness. If you hit a jump button and can be, then you will be air released. This can possibly hurt you depending on what character you main.

Light the controller on fire sometimes works. That or punch the guy sitting next to you in the gut and yell "For great justice!"
