I've been attempting to main marth recently, yet I still don't have his spacing down. I'd just like to know if any other marth players have a specific strategy in how they practice spacing, which is pretty much what Marth's all about, right?

I think that marth spacing is a good question and it would be nice to have a thread (if we already dont, lol), but yea, Q and A for all your simple questions.

Hadooken has the right idea, if someone can shield grab you, at the very least, your not spacing Fairs and Dancing Blade correctly.

QAC?

Tipped DB can be shield grabbed by DDD right? Or at the very least he can shield drob and grab if he knows you're not continuing the combo

I think he means how to spot for it. Sometimes jab ->move in training mode can help you visualize the tips of moves more, but beyond that, it's in experience. Also, check the Q&A thread, son.

What I meant awhile ago is how do you (individually) practice it? What I realize now is that most strategies that are that broad really aren't practiced, they are just learned from actual game experience.

Well, I was doing this before too. Go to training mode against Marth (he has a pretty fast walk). Set them to walk and to a percent where the move you're using will kill them if tipped, but not if it's not tipped. Once you get good, set them to run (which is actually avoid I think).

But really, just play more, that's a better solution.

Pretend that there is a crosshair. Realign the cross hair if you've misplaced it. Trial and error shall pound this information into your brain. It's so easy, a caveman can do it.
