I've was in an Role Playing Guild in Ultima Online, and played endless hours of WoW.

i watch lots of anime

i daydream a lot, (usually when i lay in bed for hours trying to go to sleep) about me having some super power, or me being skilled in combat, or some sort of hero saving the world or fighting monsters or going on secret missions...

- I had this guy teach me binary the other day. lol

- I add, subract, divide, and divide the numbers on a clock. I prefer digital clocks, on normal ones I calculate the angles that the hands are in relation to each other etc. =(

Although, among teenagers my age it's pretty unpopular, they prefer to watch movies because "It's much more chilled."

Idiots, they have no idea what kind of wonders a good book can hold. I have yet to find a movie based on a book where I preferred the movie.

But I think that older teenagers and adults read books more, right? Right?

- I do Long Division while talking on MSN to keep me entertained.
- I run Linux.
- I play two instruments, and know more than ten videogame themes between the two of them, including Gerudo Valley and Marble Zone.
- I have created a fifty room dungeon in D&D.
- I have created a complete town for a D&D campaign.
- I have one and a half binders full of campaign information.
- I go to parties only to play videogames. This pisses some of my friends off so much that they actually disconnect the power.
- I play Yu-Gi-Oh when they do that.
- I Roleplay regularly.
- I can name over fifteen Sith Lords from the Star Wars universe.
- I wrote a short booklet on how to construct a lightsaber for a school project and got full marks for it.

-I was disappointed with a 1470/1600 SAT score.
-I analyze everything everyone says and can figure out the intent or any secret meanings behind it.
-My school doesn't have a tech support department. I'm the tech support department.
-I wore a sweatshirt with the pi symbol on it to honor today: 3/14, Pi Day.
-I have successfully taught HTML to several of my school's administrators.

I think we're starting to get off topic here, though.

You see, watching Anime does not make you a nerd. Being the smartest kid in your school does not make you a nerd. Being interested in politics DEFINITELY doesn't make you a nerd.

Being a nerd is a mentality, a way of life. It's about the things you do that you just can't turn off.

Being a nerd isn't about getting an A+ in your AP Physics class, it's about trying to determine how much force your shower head produces by trying to imagine the same force in apples, and then doing the conversion mentally.

Being a nerd isn't about being able to code VB scripts at a young age, it's about writing your daily plans in pseudocode in your notebook.

That is the essence of a nerd.

-I automatically solve calculus problems in my head. While taking a shower.

I took Flash Animation classes this past summer...and I carpooled with my fifth-grade teacher's daughter.

I take Algebra...even though most other people in my grade level take Pre-Algebra.
