How cool would it be if Skull Kid was in SSBB?

How can Brawl be denied this awesomeness?

SKULL KID should be freaking awsome for brawl he would be my main even if he was very low-tier
Even if that were the case, and I'd hope it wouldn't be, I'd be right there with you, man. I use Ness not because of his ability, but because I like him as a character.

If Skull Kid were in the game, I'd prefer his TP look over his Majora's Mask look.
When I made this thread, I was talking about (the) Skull Kid. Not a skull kid. Twilight Princess had a skull kid. You can't possibly prefer him to the one from Majora's Mask, could you? I mean he looks so, short...goblin-ish, even. And the hat... Not to mention he hasn't done anything nearly as cool as summon the moon to destroy the earth (albeit while under the influence of an evil mask).

True.

But, i like the creepy Goblin-ish appearence to him.
Maybe a alt. costume if he is playable.

I didn't hate him, but I did think he was...bland. All he did was play the trumpet to summon wood puppets. Lame, easy to kill wood puppets.

The Skull Kid has so many more accomplishments under his belt. He robbed link for his Ocarina, turned link into a Deku Shrub, beat up the Witch Kotake, shattered a few fairies, set the Moon on a collision course with earth...and more. My boy Skull Kid is a menace.

If Nintendo put any other version of Skull Kid in Brawl, it would an inconceivable mistake.

What makes you think he'd be any weaker than the TP version?

As for the Mask influencing (or outright controlling- we don't know the extent of the control the Mask had on him...) Skull Kid, whats you point?

Oh man I love Skull Kid so much I designed this unique moveset for such a totally unique character! Enough with the generic style characters, how about one that adds a bit of dynamic play for once?

I designed this moveset based on the idea of the Zelda/Sheik transformation, but since Shiek will most likely not be returning, I allowed Skull Kid to make use of some of her unused moves. In this moveset, Majora’s Mask is actually the true power behind the character, and the Skull Kid acts only as a puppet.

At the start of the fight, you play as Skull Kid, who is weak and fragile, yet annoying and deceptive. However, Majora’s Mask begins to slowly glow over time, becoming a brighter and brighter yellow with a purplish mist. Your goal as Skull kid is to make use of avoidance and stunning moves to incapacitate your opponent until Majora’s Mask is at full power.

Once it has reached that point, activate Majora’s Mask by pressing Down+B. The Mask will detach itself from Skull Kid’s body, float up and sprout arms and legs, becoming an incarnation. The now helpless Skull Kid lies on the ground, unconscious and acts as a non-combative player, like Pokemon Trainer. Just be careful, if his body fails to land on solid ground, he will fall and die. Majora will not die, however, he will not be able to return back to his puppet to regenerate his power after he is weakened.

In his incarnation form, Majora will be exceptionally fast and powerful, with many juggling combos and powerful knockbacks. He also has an awkward fighting style similar to Diddy, bouncing and dancing while moving about. Due to this, however, after a short period of time, Majora will become exhausted and very weak, retracting his arms and legs and becoming the floating mask, unable to perform any attacks. You must guide Majora’s Mask near enough to Skull Kid’s body and Press B+Down to re-sync the characters. (Note: Majora gains the glide ability while in its mask form, to help it recover if it loses power when off the stage.)

The only way to earn a KO on this character is to kill Majora itself, whether attached to the Skull Kid or not. Majora’s Mask takes all of the damage and it transfers over to the Skull Kid when reunited.

Skull Kid Moveset

B: Blow Dart = Uses his Blow Gun to fire a single dart which does minor damage and interrupts the target, or charges up to fire a series of darts.

B+Forward: Deku Nut = Tosses a Deku Nut a short distance that stuns the opponent for a brief second and spins them the opposite direction.

B+Up: Vanish = Skull Kid performs a flip and then vanishes into a puff of smoke, appearing in a different spot.

B+Down: Majora’s Incarnation = Abandon’s Skull Kid and transforms into Majora when the mask is glowing, otherwise does nothing.

Majora’s Incarnation Moveset

B: Flame Beam = Majora’s Mask charges up, then fires a thin, long-range beam of molten flame from his chest that can be aimed by tilting the control stick up or down. Over time the beam’s thickness becomes less and less until it dissipates.

B+Forward: Shadow Rush = Dashes forward quickly with a trail of multiple images behind him. Each image damages the target caught in the move as if they were in a combo, causing shadow damage like Ganondorf’s special attacks.

B+Up: Tentacle Lash = Quickly sprouts two long tentacles from its arms which flail overhead and then forcefully whip the ground. Also can be used to latch onto ledges and climb back onto the stage.

B+Down: Acquire Puppet = Re-attaches itself to the body of Skull Kid if near enough to sync, otherwise does nothing.

Final Smash: Final Hour = Summons the moon which crashes down slowly through the stage. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73hH8fx4hEg

I didn’t bother doing Skull Kid’s and Majora’s normal/aerial attacks as I assume they are easy enough to think of. It’s the B moveset where most people have trouble coming up with something imaginative.

Yeah, Link is such an important character that he needs two of himself.

And between adding either a completely new, cool, and dynamic character from the Zelda series, or another Link, I'll choose the former.

So, what does anyone else think of my ideas for Skull Kid?

Hit or miss?

Because if it sucks I'll just stop doing movesets entirely, and there's plenty to go around...

...and I think as long as a character has a cool moveset, it should be included in Brawl over a character who has a more popularity, yet less originality...

*cough*

Care to show me an example? Or are you just making up bull**** in order to prove a false point?
Hammer bros. could have easily been a good character, same with shy guys...

Do you have any idea how many people have support threads and fans???

Almost ALL the pokemon COULD be characters but that won't happen

...no need to act pissy...

Not cool becuase he is only in one game... not a major player... and that game was one of the worst Legend of Zelda games...

IMO I want bigger characters, Zelda really doesn't have many good characters outside of Link, Zelda, and Ganon that are in multiple games and major players. Maybe some of the bosses could make it.

I wish they would just go with more 3rd party characters:

Megaman
Sonic
Simon Belmont
Bomberman

Skull Kid would rock in SSBB through-and-through and his moveset would be nothing short of awesome if it's true to his character. Unfortunately, poor Skull Kid may not have much of chance despite how awesome he'd be.

Simon Belmont is owned by Konami...same as Snake so he's not getting in...

Bomberman is awesome and get's my vote but he's not getting in over Sonic, Geno, and Megaman...

Geno is getting in over Megaman

Your just listing third parties against a first party character...

Yea, Skullkid is the character I want most to be in Brawl.

But just make him Skullkid wearing Majora's Mask. No transformations. He doesn't need to.

We should be saying Majora's Mask controlling Skullkid.

FS = Moon Crashing.

And I want him to be the fourth and final Zelda character in the game. (Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Skullkid)

Oh and of course when I say Zelda, I mean Zelda w/ Sheik transformation.

Yayyyyyy. I'm surprised. I didn't think there were that many people who'd like him in brawl.

I'm an obsessed zelda fan since the very beggining of the series and he is without a doubt one of the most unique zelda and even overall nintendo villains.
His powers, personnality and voice (I find his moon-summoning scream much bone-chilling and cool) are absolutely kick-@$$, and we have noticed in the past that Sakurai often shows a lot of particular attention to obscure characters when they are unique like our Skull Kid.

Of course it goes without saying that his final smash has to be summoning the moon.

Personnally though I'm split in two. Before the Minish Cap came out I dreamt of Skull Kid being in the next smash at night, but you have to admit Vaati's human shape is also something, and I want him just as much.
I think they both have very high chances, with the advantage leaking towards Vaati.
Anyways if even one of the two are there, I'll be happy for it and sad that the other isnt.

But anyway, SKULL KID FTW IN BRAWL!!!!

Vaati?! Vaati?! Vaati isn't fit to clean Skull Kid's moccasins. Vatti's feats are no where as impressive as Skull Kids. I have no idea how that purple punk even has a single fan.

*Calms himself*

Ok. Um, Vaati isn't as cool as Skull Kid imo. If they both make it, fine. If I had to choose, well...you already know.

skull kid is a waste of space to me
Yeah, I see what you mean. Being a dark (by Nintendo standards), unique, and much needed villain just isn't enough. Boo@ Skull Kid.
