Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

I'll admit, I only indulged the idea because I wanted to try a variety of Wii U games. Worked out with Sonic Racing, which i never would have purchased on ps3/xbox and i think im going to really like zombi u (tho nintendo land is horribly boring so far).

And it did LOOK fun. I was tricked and I liked the Nintendo costumes.

I still need to unlock the rest of the characters in Sonic Racing.

^yea me too, i really didnt like the game at first, but i realized once i got okay at it, it was fast paced and fun, i dont have the hang of flying yet though. I also wish it was like DDKR where you can play any map with a plane.

My only gripe is that there is no item roulette, just get an item box and hope the RNG gives you the right item you need.

YEa, it took me hours of playing to stop accidentally firing off whatever i got. So used to Mario Kart.

I do like the item balance though. Most of the items let you defend against anything else, most require a good bit of aim and even the "blue shell" item can be avoided with good driving and some ammo.

All star is broken as **** though, but I never see anyone get it without being 5+ places behind first.

I once got it Allstar in 2nd place, so yeah...

The game focuses more on good driving anyways. You're never brought to a complete stop (unless you crash into a wall) though I have encountered a few odd glitches.

actually even though the courses a pretty streamlined, i have been completely screwed by a bad crash at times.

once i was shot right before going up a ramp with the boat and i could not build up enough speed to go over the ramp. so i went from 1st to last because i had to back up and go around it. It was on an S class race in the final lap and i was amazingly pissed off.

but even the boost power up can be used right after being hit to take the edge off and recover.

I just unlocked joe musashi, isn't it kind of weird he has a theme from ps2 shinobi which was about different characters? I did read that his all star is broken and since he handles about the same as knuckles i might start using him.

Vehicle mods are a good idea, it doesnt look like any character would be unused because of how bad their stats are, because its fixable. So really I can just pick the best all star and the right mod.

I managed to go through a wall in one race, hadt start over.

Then I had one time where an Allstar wore off near a transform ring for plane. Fell into the pit since it didn't change the vehicle, got put back on track, went through ring untransformed AGAIN, fell off AGAIN, then finally tranformed to plane third time through.

I should start recording the misadventures....
