Wow that Tekken Tag with Nintendo characters was soooooooooooooo stupid and hilarious. I might actually buy that. I guess this means Tekken characters will be in Smash 4?

I'm not very interested in the Wii U at launch. Doesn't look very promising. They already said the next Zelda is in 2014 and Smash probably won't be until then or late 2013 at best. I haven't seen anything about a 3D Mario and I never liked Pikmin in the first place so I don't care about that.

Also the deluxe thing is just black + extra space for games and Nintendoland (isn't this just instructional shovelware stuff?) right? How is that worth 50$. Can't you just get a few cheap SD cards to reach 32 gigs of total space for you digital downloads?

Omg Platinum games going exclusive with Nintendo? Good lord I am definitely buying this, but not at launch.


I'm reading the comments on gamestop and I'm shocked people are complaining about this being on Wii U. It would be like complaining about God of War 3 being on ps3 instead of ps2.

Also about the controllers, it makes perfect sense to ditch the compatibility for GC if the console doesn't even play gamecube games. That Xbox controller thing looks perfectly fine for hardcore gaming and quite frankly I think the gamecube controller is ******** for having 1 huge button surrounded by 3 smaller harder to press buttons. What I'm worried about is the control sticks being up and to the sides instead of in the middle like a ps3 or xbox controller, but I hear the controller is a bit smaller so it might not be much of a stretch.

Edit : If platinum games characters make it into smash 4...

The WiiU pro controller is fine. It's pretty much a 360 controller with its sticks moved. It will take a sec to get used to, that's it.

I'm not a fan of bayonetta but it's nice to have an exclusive. People complain about it being on WiiU because the mass gaming media has hated Wii/Nintendo for the past 6 years. So it's no surprise their hate carries over to WiiU.

Tekken Tag 2 might actually be good on the WiiU. Iirc the tekken producers said a free digital strat guide will come with the game and will be accessed on the touch screen. If you guys get tekken I'll get it too and we can join the tekken scene and become a family!!!

Overall though, I'm finally excited for WiiU. The past two E3s did nothing for me but after today I think it's gonna be fine. It won't sell like wii did but it will do fine.

Well after reading more of the comments, some people are upset that it the first wasnt on Wii but was on xbox/ps3 and now its on wii u but not with sony/microsoft. Apparently people don't get that Wii was beneath ps3/xbox and wii u is beyond them (i assume).

Wonderful 101 actually made me smile when they said "U" at the end. Kinda like when they say the title of a movie in the movie lol.

I'm really hoping Nintendo can impress without mario/samus/starfox/zelda cranking out the same stuff again (good stuff but still). I know platinum has a metal gear solid game on the way too.

If they made XC look good on the Wii...well then.

Wonderful 101 is p-100. I don't dislike it but I don't love it. It might be cool but who knows. It reminds me of Pikmin meets katamari or something.


And RT yea I want retro to announce an F-zero but I think it's gonna be another Prime game.

Honestly, I'm still unconvinced about this gamepad. I just watched the trailer showing all the games and only once did I think " oh cool the huge ****ing touch screen would be useful there" and obviously it was Nintendoland.

Alot of that stuff looks fun but really if the gamepad is 150 dollars and the whole thing is 300 then it seems like a huge waste of money and im wondering how cheap the rest of it is.

Dude, the wiimote wasn't taken advantage of at the beginning. Hell one could argue it was never FULLY taken advantage of. The same will go for the WiiU controller at first. It takes time for developers to figure out ways to innovate with the WiiU controller because they have been stuck developing on the "typical" controller for 2 decades. So don't write it off yet.

I want another free roam 3D mario game much like 64 and sunshine, not a boring thousands of small levels game like galaxy 2 and 3D land.

Kilik, why the hell would a WiiU play 3ds(handheld) games especially when the 3ds is currently the main handheld Nintendo is supporting? The WiiU can play WiiU games and MOST wii games. When it comes to launch games for WiiU I recommend ZombiU or Wonderful 101.

I just read on VGChartz that GameStop will stop taking pre-orders for the deluxe WiiU console today. They are sold out. They will however continue to sell the basic WiiU until it sells out which is expected to be sold out by Monday.
