We were thinking about churches, but the problem is that the tournament falls on a Sunday also.

This seems to be the trend. Lan centers can't stay open for the life of them. You're lucky you didn't submit a payment before hand, and the owners skipped off. Mang, you hosted Host 1 early last september, and if you want to make it an annual tourney, you still have till then to pull it off.

wow... that sucks badly, well at least we found out a couple weeks before this thing actually happend or some people might have really been pissed off when they were already traveling there from outta state or countery

i remember going to this big abandoned supermarket building or something where a BlueFork tourny and Naruto tourny was held.....maybe try there? it was pretty nice, idk. Forkgirl for sure knows more than me, can you remind what that place was exactly?

Why don't we use Gamelot here in SA.
- Its much bigger than Gladiator Games, plus its terribly cheaper. (The owner would just want like 20-40% of pot or maybe a $5.00 entry fee)
- I think it is easier to get to than Gladiators was, seeing as the outskirts of Houston where Magnolia is are very crazy.
- Any housing will most likely not be an hour away, at most 45 min and that is MrC's house, who prolly wouldn't house anyways.
- They have alot of their own TV's that are non Plasma, HD, or Flat and lag.
- They have an Arcade with DDR, Pacman, Centipede and whatnot. So that way people who lose early or are waiting for their match can have somehting to do.
- There is like 5 good food places within the parking lot, lol
Ok, now I did suggest that Gamelot would be the next best option, but I don't know how comfortable the Owner is with that, but we had a tournament thrust on him 2 days before it happened and he didn't care. This guy is really cool, if you remember how much the Cyberjocks owner liked us, its that same kind of Manager, foreign and nice.
Talk to Felix about it, since he has the most direct contact and credibility with the owner.
Also this wont go out of business for a long time, its like a heroes and fantasies, not a Lan Center. WHihc is another thing.
- No annoying computer people to get in our way...some annoying D&D and MTG ppl though.
