I move a lot
alright first of all i don't have much time.

second of all i search but couldn't find anything.

so, you think they should take this out. i personally hate it. whenever i want to slide an up/a attack sometimes i will jump because i didn't have the right timeing. i realize that is my fault but i wouldn't have that problem if you didn't jump by pressing up. how many people actually jump with the control stick?

let me know what you think.

Yes, I think we all have problems with the jump on the control stick... I personally hate it because I have hard time doing Up+A attacks or Uair without doing a double jump... Hopefully they would somewhat fix that...

the only problem you should have is doing utilt, uair can be c-sticked without jumping easily.

so if they left control stick jump in I wouldn't mind at all, it helps my fox a ton actually, makes him much much much faster and helps me land the uair much easier, as well as hitting people that are trying to get up on platfoarms above me.

Well, I use the control stick to jump, but I do have some problems doing u-tilts.
Maybe there could be an option to have the control stick for jumping or not.

They should have an option to take it off and an option to turn one of the jump buttons into a shorthop button.

Keige I actually like the idea, one button for regular jumps and one for short hop will so help me, I can never do short hops when I want to XD... they should have controllers settings, and allow u to customize ur controller in a way it feels more comfortable 2 the player...

Realistically, Nintendo will never take out stickjumping. It allows a player to be able to move in any direction even if their right hand is busy (doing a combo, or maybe itching your nose).

I use it and have gotten pretty good with it, but ill admit button jumping is much easier. I just do it out of habit from the first smash (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). I'm kinda hoping they take one of the x or y buttons and keep it jumping, but i wouldnt mind if they doodled with one of them. More attacks are always nice.

Well, I always use the controlstick for jumping. But if they took it out, I guess I could learn to jump with the X/Y button. (Id kinda have to, wouldn't I..).

A shorthop button?

Nah, that'd take out the skill involved.

Besides, I love watching all those Fox players suffer trying to get it down. :)

I like the analog stick jumping, and I have no problems whatsoever doing up tilts or smashes, in fact I hardly ever use the buttons for jumping.

It shouldn't go. I hate it sometimes, but there are people who use it, and you could always pull of an uair with the C-stick. Also, utilts and usmashes are never a problem for me.

I wish you could turn it on and off, on some chars like my falco I use the control stick to quick jc my shines, but on other chars like my IC I'd rather not have to worry about accidently jumping when trying advanced desynchs

oh, and not to mention control stick jump makes it more true to being a fighting game, seeing as pretty much every single arcade fighting game has control stick jump.

I think an on/off feature would be good though, makes it easier on characters who use utilt a lot (think marth)
