For the link fights, be sure and edge guard faster. It will get you there in time to get a back kick in before his hook-shot recovery. I also think the nair trick might work with his up-b (you used this move in the falco video). Be sure and shield grab more. you guys had moments where you both shielded and waited for a second (a long time in smash...). There were also times when he attacked your shield for a good amount of time. Take advantage of these times and shield grab. It also seems like the timing of your fair is off sometimes (using it too early then just landing and taking his next attack). That just takes practice, and is hard considering all the possible trajectories he could take after a grab or attack.

I was going to mention wavelanding until i saw the falco video. Very nice! I also like the use of the nair to edge guard. i only picked that up recently and its my favorite way to edgeguard. your tech chases were also awesome, though you tried to get a few too many standing punches in sometimes and let him escape, not a big deal considering you won, but watch out for it.

the falcon video was good, it looks like your working on the shino stall too. be sure to tighten those up. really good players can wavedash between stalls if they are that high (its happened to me, heh).

No problem! Alot of those tips just reflect problems of my own too, so they're easy to spot cause I also make the same mistakes, haha. You can check it out in my videos sometime, under the thread "OSU Smash". MCS is just too fast for me...

based off what i saw on the shiek vs link match you need to
a) throw more
b) dont hold ur shield up for so long
c) edge gaurd
d) learn to mix up you're moves and combos... they were getting predictable

Yea yea yea. I never did you give you typical generic smashboards feedback. Um good stuff on the videos glad to some other great sheik players besides * Insert random good sheik player here * Hopefully we can play in each other in brawl. Anyway keep up the good work. And show us a combo video once your done.

So just a couple of things. I watched one video from all of your sets.

I don't have as much experience critiquing Mario, G & W, Samus, Link, and Jigglypuff becuase, I simply do not play against them enough. When I do play them I approach them with just a "General" sheik style. I think you did a very good job against all of your opponents. Especially the C.Falcon which I can say, that was a very good sheik out of you, and a very bad (NON DI'ing) C.Falcon out of your opponent.

I only had a couple of suggestions for your sheik. Mainly, when you are coming back to the stage and your back is toward the stage you do not reverse needle, to get your body facing the stage. This way for approaching you do not have to use your explosion and makes coming back a lot easier. It is also very defensible with needles in their face, f-air, etc.

You use a LOT of needles, I guess that is just your style. I noticed it in the Samus match (obviously for projectiles) but also against Jigglypuff (interrupt jumps, etc.) but you just used it a lot. Perhaps for needle storm grabs (of which there were a good amount) and just down smashes. I can't comment anymore on that because that is your style.

I did like that amount of n-airs though. N-airs, they are too good against pillar shine happy falco's too!

EDIT: I never even thought of using the reverse needle to tunr around. that is actually a great idea. i will try to start using that in my gameplay.
