I will enter for the tryout.

I am throwing my Pikachu's red hat into the ring. I also appreciate the AC/DC reference.

I often play Thunderstruck during matches. I try to use the thunder attack on the corresponding notes. I am such a nerd.

who doesn't love sexy time.

but anyways. i have something that evryone needs to read and post to. i have a thread started called stage selection(soon to be renamed though). but i only have the general outline finished. what i need is input from the community. that being said, i propose that we all meet at one time, most preferrably in a chatroom. this way we can discuss freely the topic. we will discuss each stage for each character and what not and i will keep track of what is said. after all is said and done i will post the results up and we can have a magnificient thread.

now i would reall like all the members of this thread to be able to get on at the same time and chat with each other cuz right now we are the most responsive posters. now we need times that you are free and can get on so we can find when most(if not all) can get on and talk about it. this is majorly important and would make my job sooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier. there would be less bickering about what is right and wrong, blah blah blah.

so right now anytime is good for me. i can do tomorrow night. i prefer nights btw. just to throw that out there. :)

Why don't you just edit in a quote and say something like Osgiliath's opinion is...

Easier, and it would be in the first post.

the point of the first post is to be as organized as possible and keep them all under a standard format. editing the first post would go against that standard. i will edit it with new information, but i want the new info to be posted first so i can refer back to it when editing.

IMPOSSIBLE!!! The Remonster can only be killed by stabbing him in the heart with the ancient bone saber of Zumakalis!

I am bored. Anyone online at SSBB?

good idea gallax, I just hope it will actually work, and as far as the stage discussion, i think its vital, since people need to know where to go against who and such, so lets make it happen! :)

Very good games waddle. your ground game with pika is solid, but you need to learn to use aerials and thunder better. also it would be a very good idea to learn the quick attack cancel. you can fin it in the main pikachu tech thread. I dont think you are ready yet for the clan, but you have a good base skill, and i believe you can get in with enough practice. And yeah, if an ike's quickdraw meets a dedede inhale......Ike is thrown off the edge with no hope of recovery.

I just read about the quick attack cancel, but I am not 100% clear on it yet. Is that the technique of using up special to land next to an opponent, attack then up special away? Or just go back and forth through an opponent? I prefer using the up special for defense only. I am not fast enough to use it for that though. It is great for traveling around an arrow or other projectile and then attack. The only attack I am interested in is chain grabing. I never learned how to use Pikachu's chain grab. I am also still working on the many edge guarding techniques. Those are great if they work, but annoying if you fail to recover. I agree my aerial sucks. I am much bettter with Toon Link's aerials. Thanks for the advice and I will return.

for chain grabbing, just practice dthrow on a fox, and fthrow on a dedede. those are easy to do for both characters, and will teach you the basics so you can do it on harder characters, like wolf and ike. QAC is generally used for mindgames, to approach, and for QAC thunders. if you send them up, predict which side they DI too, then qac and thunder. watch some vids on youtube of anther. he will demonstrate what we all aspire to reach lol.

same here if you don't mind me tagging along Im game just send me an IM and Ill join the chatroom :)

and to waddle: QAC should be used for more than defense. like stealth said its a great mindgame, but it can also be used to cover alot of distance very quickly. for example, if you are on the left edge of FD hanging and your opponent is MK or Pit, and they fly under the stage to the other side, you can ledge hop into a QAC that has a horizontal input for the first part, and a diagnol down right input for the 2nd one, and when you quick attack into the ground, there is a brief moment where you can input an aerial, or a jump, or even another Quick attack. By doing this you can traverse almost the entire stage in one motion, and intercept them on the other side. it has more uses than just this, but as an example, and you should learn to use it to your advantage. you should work on aerials before chain grabbing, since oftentimes you will d-throw into an aerial, for a combo. just my $.02 anyhow

Someone on Nintendo World taught me that trick. I can fly underneath Final Destination, but I am not sure why it is useful. I can almost make it across the entire between stage map by flying underneath it. I just missed the grab. :(
