Well damn guys, I think I even posted in this topic saying I would've liked Joker to be in Smash. This is pretty crazy lol.

Satanael for a final smash. Bigass background summon, aim a Sinful Shell shot with a targeting cursor.

Not sure what you're implying with that second sentence? Is there anyone who actually thinks Super Mario RPG or Golden Sun are more popular than Persona 5 in 2018? The reason Joker's thread wasn't as big as the ones you mentioned is because Persona 5 is not on any Nintendo console and Sakurai never indicated that this kind of crossover was even possible, whereas Isaac is from a franchise owned by Nintendo and Geno is owned by a company that already has a character in Smash. It's literally comparing apples to orange. It'd be like if they announced Master Chief tomorrow and people were surprised that his support thread wasn't as big as Waluigi's.

Anyways, congrats guys! This was really exciting news and if this is any indication of what's still to come in the rest of the DLC then I couldn't be happier.

I wanted someone from the mainline SMT games, but Persona is what got me to even try the former in the first place, so this does make sense.

Persona 5 is better than Persona 4 don't @ me, so I'm glad that people can at the very least stop clogging everything with P4 stuff. Now it's time to stuff P5 into everything instead!!!

I love Persona 5 and Joker as a character / design, so I'm hyped. Congratulations, all of you!

TELL ME, HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SAW THAT JOKER IS JOINING THE SMASH!

So basically I watched TGA with my roommates and made Red Dead jokes the whole way through. The static hit and we thought it was that Cyberpunk game the Witcher guys were working on. Then Persona 5 aesthetics hit. I thought it was a Switch port and got excited.

Then one roommate noticed the words at the bottom of the screen. We started getting hyped. And then they said "invited" and flipped the card around and I screamed so loudly, over and over, all of us jumping around the room. I started crying. I ended up falling over and skinning my knee on the carpet. I don't even know what got over me - I get excited but I never get HYPE. People can give Etika **** for his reactions all they want but this was the most I've ever reacted to that degree. I haven't even been able to play Smash yet because I'm lying in bed with tears in my eyes and how amazing this felt. Until Ultimate, Persona 5 was my most-anticipated game of all time. It's in my top five, maybe even top three favorite games of all time. It's my favorite JRPG. I know we said "Persona Q2 is coming, you never know!" and "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" but that does t mean I believed it would happen. Not for a second.

I'm satisfied. Like, I was on board with Ridley and I love K. Rool but I've never had a PERSONAL WANT to the nth degree granted. And now I have, and I know how it feels, and I'll take anything in that pack because I got one of my most insane, never-will pipedreams and I still can't believe it.

I had to keep asking my friends if that really happened and if it was real. God of War winning GOTY was just icing on the cake. I can't believe it. I really can't. But it's real. We're gonna get a forum. I'm gonna main Joker and learn Joker tech. He's gonna have an Amiibo. He's a ****ing icon and star of one of the best games I've ever played and he's here in Smash.

Wow. It's unbelievable.

I've calmed down now. I'm gonna go play World of Light. Love you guys.
