He said the five fighter pass characters will be unique newcomers. That doesn't mean he can't throw in freebie echoes on the pass if he wants. But again, no one's actually expecting it. Literally all Persona fans are expecting is a character, a stage, and a good amount of music. And FF is obviously the exception. Street Fighter and Bayo have plenty of content. I really haven't seen anything unreasonable at all.

Also please spoiler DQ11 stuff like that. I'm in the middle of the game right now.

Sorry; I left it vague enough for those who haven't played everything through. In all honesty, there's been a lot of people who beat that game fully and actually didn't know that because it's said so matter-of-factly and has NO attention given to it that people missed it entirely.

I looked a little into maya filenames, and projects have a bunch of folders, and the folder structure may be what led to that string.

Ok, nvermind, I found the solution, and there are actually 2 extensions in one filename,. problem solved. I'll post a screenshot .

The resetera post you posted about thought it had to do with a seperate character because they didn't know that one file can have multiple extensions when it comes to more advanced applications. They thought it was a combination of two completely different files, not one. The truth is that maya's hair files use two extensions in one file, like what i pointed out in the screenshot (and like how we originally thought.)

In other words, the file is all for jack's 7th costume.

Thanks for clarifying, that makes a whole lot more sense. So in the end, Joker's 7th costume must have hair properties for a ponytail, meaning a FeMC is still very likely.

Yup. Either that or 1 or two costumes are 'special'. That it's called jane definitely makes it likely that it's a girl (with the off chance that it's actually a crossdressing joker ). The main reason Im not sure about the FeMC part is that usually it's the 8th costume that's the alt.

Remember in smash 4 when Kid Icarus got 2 newcomers, one of which had more moves than the other characters, 2 new stages, one of which was enormous and obviously took much more work than any other stage, 2 new assist trophies, 4 new items, and a bazillion smash run enemies. Not to mention a massive Easter egg with hundreds of lines of voice acted dialogue.

Then DK which is inarguably much bigger and more important than KI got no newcomers, no new assist trophies (and no assist trophies period) no new items, only one new stage, and like 2 smash run enemies.

So if anything Persona would get more content than DQ, especially considering how stingy square is.

That said, I only expect a normal amount of content from Persona. I'm just objecting to the argument.

Absolutely agree on that. The only possible difference between fighter packs is music. They said 1 stage. And if any come with a freebie echo they all will.

Remember that Smash 4 also came to the 3DS? It was likely easy to port things from KIU for things like Smash Run enemies, assist trophies or other things of use. Plus, being the creator only makes things like that easier when it comes to asking for use.

Considering current Smash team didn't previously work on P5 and has all the assets they can reuse, it's not an effective argument.

Dark Pit was an alt that turned into his own character because they had free time.
Palutena's special treatment applies to Miis and Mega Man too.

Anyway, I can get being salty about this five years later (ok, I can't) but this has nothing to do with Persona. It's a third party owned series, "sakurai bias" won't magically give it more represantation.

I think you're misunderstanding me. You seemed to be saying that Sakurai made up for KI special treatment by not giving it new stuff in ultimate, and I pointed out that it got more stuff than some other series. Unless I misunderstood.

I'm not sure why you guys are trying to prove there was no Kid Icarus bias, be because this post right here is all I'm trying to say. I was arguing against what Back Mage Kuja said that DQ will get more content than Persona because it's more important. I was just using KI in smash 4 as an example of that not being the case

We're in the dlc phase, which is it's own thing.

I kind of would have liked sakurai to be a bit biased towards kirby, and add more kirby characters after brawl

I think he specifically said he didn't add a lot of Kirby content in 4 because he added so much in brawl and didn't want to seem biased. Or am I just imagining things?

I didn't see anything like that. but at least for smash 5 it wouldve been a good time. Well, mostly saying that cuz i like kirby.

Kirby at least should have gotten moveset changes. He really needs some more stuff based on copy abilities other than fighter.

They did add back the fireball dash attack, but that's it. I mean, kirby isn't the only one i think they could update the moveset for. but oh well.

Speaking of movesets, I really want to know how joker plays. In my mind i can only picture a mix of sheik and bayonetta, but really I know it'll be different. I just hope it's fun

I think it's a given he'll be a very athletic fighter. I can see him casting spells with Arsene for smash attacks and specials but that's it.
