Hey guys. I work at our local GameStop and our Nintendo rep stopped by today right before I got off. She mentioned officially that there will be a new Wii demo disk, but hesitated when I asked her what would be on it. She then said, in a very hushed voice (so this is not "official") that it would house a small Brawl demo. That's all she said, "a small Brawl demo". She wouldn't answer any other questions, but I talked to my manager and asked when the new demo disk was scheduled to arrive...he said they're supposed to be in the system in 2 weeks time, but we would be getting them sometime this weekend!

I work tomorrow and the next day so I'll let you guys know more info when I hear it. I know a manager who is just as excited as I am about Brawl, so chances are some night when I'm closing with him he'll let me pop it into our demo unit and give it a shot (I hope!).

If you cant do that, just take one picture with your phone and that might be sufficient.

My friend just called me (who's still on his shift). He said he asked what was on the demo, and she candidly mentioned that she had seen it, but only noticed that there were 3 or 4 characters on the select screen (she only remembered Pikachu...for a rep she didn't seem too into Nintendo games). She left soon after that, so that's all we'll know until the next couple days.

This actually makes sense. It isn't an "I'm an insider and Nintendo is letting me beta-test the game" kind of thing. Nintendo will give Gamestop a Brawl demo, no doubt. Melee was the #1 selling Cube game, and, therefore, Nintendo will want to hype Brawl further. They had demos of Excite Truck before the Wii even came out. Why would a Gamestop demo of Brawl be any more far-fetched?

You might be the first tipster I believe since this game was announced. I can see a demo getting around before the Christmas season, they'd have to be done with one by now. Limited characters is a classic move to make, make it the most basic Nintendo Icons with Kirby in for Hal Labs. One stage, two players at a stretch, easy computer character and items. It'll be months before it hits stores, probably around December 3rd obviously.

This confirms nothing, but being able to actually play the game leads into a depth where all these screenshots become a game. There's zero unedited gameplay footage, this might be the first look at things without perfect camera angles and posing.

...Ok, so if THAT'S true, then I guess it doesn't really matter then, does it? Any one of us could goto a store that has the demo, and test some stuff out real quickly and end a couple discussions.

Where I live, I have two Gamestop's within walking distance, and at the mall (Also within walking distance) two EB games.

I just remembered something. I don't know if Gamestop would get a Brawl demo anytime soon. The stores (well, my store anyway) just recently received the Metroid demo. If Gamestop was to get a Brawl demo, it probably wouldn't be for a while.
